The Central Valley Corvette Club was
chartered in 1991 for the owners of the only
real AMERICAN sports car, the awesome
CORVETTE. It's a social organization with
activities that provide enjoyment for the true
Corvette lover.
MONTHLY MEETINGS ARE HELD
AT 6.30 P.M. ON THE 3 RD TUESDAY
OF EVERY MONTH AT YOSEMITE
FALLS CAFE, 4278 W. ASHLAN AVE,
FRESNO CALIFORNIA. INTERESTED
CORVETTE ENTHUSIATS ARE
MORE THAN WELCOME TO
ATTEND THE MEETINGS AND MEET
OUR MEMBERS.
Club activities include monthly meetings,
car shows, weekend Club activities,
overnighters, picnics, road rallies, summer
cruises, holiday get-to-gathers and more!
Eligibility for membership in CVC is
defined in Article III, section 1 of the
bylaws in part as follows: "Membership in
Central Valley Corvettes shall be open to all
Corvette owners who are sponsored by a
member in good standing. Additionally, a
prospective member must, within a three
month period , attend two consecutive
meetings, participate in two club sanctioned
social activities, pay current membership
dues and initiation fees, and be approved by
two- thirds vote of membership present at
any general membership meeting by secret
ballot
Sponsors shall be responsible for advising
prospective member of results. All members
must submit proof of personal insurance in
accordance with California State Law upon
application for membership, and all
members must be a member of the
association providing club liability insurance
for CENTRAL VALLEY CORVETTES.
A prospective member who does not have a
sponsor will be provided one by the
membership committee. Non-members may
not participate in more than three meetings
or two sanctioned activities.
CVC membership dues are $67.00 plus an
initiation fee of $35.00. Membership entitles
two members at the same address voting
privileges at meetings (provided they are in
good standing) and membership rights.

Happy July to all. I would like to
welcome our new members Dick and
Terry Johnson. Tom and Marci Jarvis
and previous members Joe and Sarah
Garcia were voted in as new members
at the last meeting and will receive
their member packages at the July
meeting. Welcome again and thanks to
the members who took the time to
sponsor these folks. We are now up to
89 members. Great job!
We have some good runs coming up.
Pam Hansen’s Word From Home Car
Show on June 28th is a great way to
show our appreciation to the military
personnel who sacrifice so much to
ensure our freedom. The Dawson’s are
putting on the Snelling Homecoming
Car Show on July 12th and the
Anderson’s/Garrahan’s the Ventura run
July 24-26, Now the bad news on runs.
We have none scheduled after these
until the Mystery run in October.
If anyone has a run idea they have
been contemplating now would be a
good time to act on it. If a newer
member wants to put on a run there is
a wealth of experience available from
the “older heads” in the club and they
are all happy to help.
At the last meeting we voted on a logo
and “Fresno” is now on our logo but is
not part of our official name and
everybody is happy (hopefully). Many
thanks to Charlie Fosnaugh for all his
work in putting together the options
for us to vote on and also working
with an embroidery shop to get us
some really good deals on clothing.
More to follow at the July meeting.

General Meeting Minutes
June 16, 2015
The General Meeting was called to order
at 6:30pm by President Gary Pflepsen.
The minutes from the May general
meeting were read by Kim Fosnaugh, for
Secretary Debby Anderson. Chuck Hall
made a motion to accept the minutes as
read and was seconded by Leigh Ann
Severance.
Treasurer’s Report was given by Mike
Lebda.
Skip Severance, Vice President of Activities
had run leaders report on their pervious
runs. Skip reported that a CD of the
Foothill Run with Corvettes of Fresno was
available for $15, and Charlotte Renna
collected money from those who had
attended and sent a thank you and gift
cards to the Kozera’s for the wonderful
lunch they hosted for everyone. Future
runs of The Word From Home Car Show,
Snelling Car Show, Ventura Run and
President’s Mystery Run were discussed.
Dick Danielsen, Vice President of Public
Relations gave the Birthday and
Anniversary report. New members Dick &
Terry Johnson were called up front with
their sponsors Glenn & Lorraine
Henderson who presented them with their
membership bag. Ballots were handed out
to vote on prospective members, Tom and
Marci Jarvis, and Joe and Sarah Garcia. Both
couples were approved as new members.
Our Parliamentarian, Craig Hansen reminded
everyone we will have nominations for
officers in three months.
Sergeant of Arms, Chuck Laningham
collected $2.25.
Jan Pflepsen gave her Sunshine & Clouds
report.
Old Business:
Charlie Fosnaugh passed out ballots for the
members to vote on the logo, with or
without Fresno, Ca. Discussion was held and
after the vote, Fresno, Ca will be included in
the logo. Next month Charlie will have shirts
for the members to vote on for a club shirt.
New Business:
None
The next Board meeting will be held
Thursday June 25th at the Lebda’s.
The next General meeting will be July 21st.

1. FROM DIANE HAYES – HUBBY MIKE HAYES CELEBRATED HIS 80 TH
BIRTHDAY WITH A CELEBRATION AT THE DAILY GRILL RESTAURANT.
BOTH CHILDREN WERE THERE WITH ALL THE GRANDCHILDREN PLUS
THEIR SIGNIFICANT OTHERS AND OTHER FRIENDS, ALSO. LOTS OF FUN
WAS HAD BY ALL. MIKE’S YOUNGEST NEPHEW AND WIFE FLEW OUT
FROM HOSTON, TEXAS FOR THE SPECIAL OCCASION.
2. TODAY, JUNE 16, I WAS DRIVING HOME FROM A GOLF TOURNAMENT
WHEN COMING OFF THE 168 FREEWAY ON TO HERNDON AVENUE, A
VERY LARGE RED TRUCK DECIDED TO SHARE LANES WITH ME AND SIDE
SWIPED MY WHITE CADILLAC. IT NOW HAS A CRUNCHED PASSENGER
DOOR WITH LOTS OF RED PAINT SCRAPED ON THE CAR. ALL INVOLVED
IN THE ACCIDENT ARE JUST FINE AND NOW MUST DEAL WITH THE
INCONVENIENCE OF CAR REPAIR.
3. OUR FRIEND ED KROEKER HAS BEEN IN REHAB. HE CAN NOW WALK WIH
THE HELP OF A WALKER AND WITH THE SUPPORT OF A BELT. HE IS
FEELING BETTER, HAS HAD HIS SUTURES REMOVED AND IS LOOKING
FORWARD TO SEEING ALL AT THE NEXT MEETING.
4. JEFF IS TAKING HIS WIFE SARAH ON AN ALASKAN CRUISE THE END OF
THE MONTH. THIS TRIP WILL BE AN EFFORT TO EASE THE MEMORIES OF
A VERY DIFFICULT FLIGHT SHE HAD WHEN SHE WENT TO HELP OUT HER
FAMILY WHO IS GOING THROUGH SOME UNFORTUNATE TIMES.
THIS IS ALL FOR NOW, I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO HEARING FROM ALL
AGAIN BEFORE THE NEXT MEETING.
