Guysers GaystayTurns 2GaystayGuysers Gaystay opened its doors for business on 1st October 2012. Through hardwork, dedication and attention to detail Guysers has become a popular choice ofaccommodation for gay male travellers to our beautiful city – Rotorua. We had a vision 4 years ago of running our veryown B&B/guesthouse for gay men, to be ourown boss, and live a lifestyle hosting travellersfrom all over the world and New Zealand alike. After selling up in Wellington we decided onRotorua as being the ideal location for our B&Bas Rotorua is a major tourist destination thatattracts thousands of people to the region eachyear, and the weather here is pretty nice too.In looking for a property that was close to theRotorua CBD and one that could easily functionas a B&B with several rooms and bathrooms,we found the ideal house on Pukuatua Street –5 minutes walk from the city center and closeto all the action and tourist attractions.October 2012: Work beginsbuilding the new high fences. With our spare time and our experience in weband graphic design we started to build our veryown website www.guysersgaystay.comOnce we had moved in we began straight awaybuilding a stylish new fence to privatise theback section (to allow men to sunbatheau natural if they wish). To save money we didall the building work ourselves which includeddigging many post holes, countless hours ofcutting and staining timber, pouring bags ofconcrete and nailing on hundreds of verticalpickets.Once the fence was complete we beganplanting a sub tropical-look garden whichquickly flourished in the rich Rotorua soil.Today: The stylish fence is completeproviding total privacy and the garden isflourishing providing a relaxing setting.Continued over...www.guysersgaystay.comGuysers Gazette 3
