“Beyond” ... the pledge of foundation
In the Middle East we live in raiding times that hold two
counterparts: Hope and collapse. Both are nominated for victory,
if the other dwindles and weakens.
The public awareness in our region is burdened by all sorts of
phenomena that are capable of removing us from the area of
action and influence: social negativity, economical and political
tremors, predominance of the culture of consumption and
intellectual theft, the absence of moral codes, and the prevalence
of self interest and corruption.
Therefore the social incubator of thought warns us about the
dissipation of the horizons of productivity, creativity and competition
in a world fueled by innovation and the insanely rapid sequence of
technological inventions. Facing this darkness it becomes all but
natural that societies get infected with the plague of melancholy
and chaos, rendering individuals ripe for disappointment,
depression and eventual retroversion to the underworld.
Now more than ever, positive movement becomes a life challenge
and a future insurance. As history have taught us repeatedly,
there isn’t any engine which can store as much of an impressive
amount of positive energy that’s capable of reversing the
equation like art, the source of beauty and the dream watcher.
Here on the ground we watch man made creative achievements
amazes the sight, even theappalling sights of barbaric acts,
which proposes the compelling question: where will the motion of
history lead us, and where do we land.
“Beyond” art exhebition is a statement of position and a
passionate search for the collective vision of the beauty of
certainty, mechanisms of creative capture and the reservoirs of
accomplishments and amazement.
When the fine arts acquire the tools of amazement it becomes
capable of action, influence and the reproduction of hope; given
change is beauty oriented.
The message of “Beyond” carries two collective headlines:
Firstly, the thoughtful freedom:
The fine arts field in our region never witnessed the natural
evolutionary sequence between the art schools as in Europe.
It even became limited to several experiences which were
influenced by the western schools which are foreign to this land.
Even though fine art is a universal language, it carries socially
specialized genetics that surely will leave its imprint on the artistic
global map.
“Beyond” doesn’t hope to crystallize a specific fine arts school,
as globalization has removed all borders and restrains, so it’s an
invitation to make the fine arts school free of political duties and
social shackles, with the hope that new generations of artists
will capture the moment and the tools to devote the values of
beauty in our educational and social system, so that we may
rest assured about the birth of sensually balanced generations.
Secondly, the power of art:
There’s a shining example of the strength of creative expression
in our Arabian history; more than a thousand years ago the poet Abu
Al Tayib Al Mutanabi was able to establish a powerful authority for
poetry, which strength has rivaled the political authority, but it remained
shelved but few studies on which further construction was halted.
In global history, and when the war was approaching Europe,
the fine arts artist Salvador Dali clashed with the members of
the Surrealist movement, so they decided to expel him from the
group based on a court order in 1934, when he refused to take a
stance against the Spanish fighter Francisco Franco, even though
Luis Bunuel, Picasso and Miro did.
Hence, founding a fine arts collective that relies on the established
frames and doesn’t contradict them at all, became an urgent
need based on new foundations:
The rendezvous and meeting place is the painting, which gathers
the artists inside its frames, making individual and establishment
ateliers a hub for meets & exchange of experiences.
Individual and group galleries are not only a display of paintings
but workshops as well, allocating a section for collaborative
paintings that harbor various colors and technicalities, in the
frame of thematic unity based on free speech & technique.
General fine arts features come out of these experiences,
which paves the way for dialogue on the “Canvas” alongside
the other features.
Combining the fine arts established frames in this movement &
discussion.
Here, through “Beyond” the ambiguous features of the fine arts’
authority become apparent.
In “Beyond” the tools of expression blend to become a voice
platform, a spotlight and a font space, through which we
announce our presence in the world of today and tomorrow, and
we show our bias towards creative work and our love for the
search for its elements, and our passion to evolve its tools that
are capable of unleashing an artistic scene striking a balance
between knowledge and feel.
It’s not an easy challenge for the fine arts community, to overcome
the hindering reality of bringing the thirty nine linguistic meanings
of the word Creation into fruition, and to select whatever the
disarrayed human needs to create. Every dreamer’s dictionary
lacks the word Impossible, as does Creation’s which we hope in
this exhibition to not be deficient of framing, or rather reframing
of the components of existence and priorities of the mind, raising
the values of creation which are spread all around us.
In “Beyond” there’s a strong disruption of stagnating meanings,
rigid thinking patterns and that which the eyes are used to see.
The painting carries colors that contradict its own name, and its
theme defies all expectations. The color spot contests the space,
and the lines sneak up to the unknown. The watery blur erupts
when cut by the sharp tip... as they tussle and then hug again
they go their separate ways, each to its own space.
The painting, here it gets totally crowded and shrinks around
what you want, opening up the frame to all possibilities.
“Beyond”… The pledge of foundation bringing the powers of
enlightenment to spark ingenuity in creation, and bring back the
muddled beauty to its calm rational.
