NEW SPECIES AND NOTES ON
RESUPINATE FUNGI

SUMMARY
Platygloea subabdita growing within Myxarium podlachicum, P. bispora
growing within Tubulicrinis angustus. and Xenasmatel!a albida are proposed
as new spec ies. Descriptions are given of chlarnydospores in Hyp hoderma
sambuet and of fusion of spores in Hyph oderm a.

In fructification ibus Myxarii parasitica. Hyphue hyalin ae, tenuiter tun icatae,
nodoso-septatae, 1-3 11Iatae. Probasidia distineta. globosa vel oblonga,
(8)-10-12-(15) x 5-7 /I Meta basidia cylind racea vel clavata, 25-45 x4-5 utransverse
septa ta, 3-4-cellula, sterigrnatibus usqu e ad 40 ", longe\' Sporae hyal inae,
ovoidcae, uno latere applanatae, 5-7,5-(8,5) x 3-5 II, apiculatae.
Fructification within Myxarium po dlachicum (BRES) RI\ITV. ex WOJ. Hyphae
hyaline, thin-w alled, 1-3 u broad with indistinct elanips. Probasidia thinwalled,
dist inct, single or two-th ree toget her, globose to oblong, without
clamps at the base, (8)-10-12-(15) x 5-7 u, sometimes hypha-like elongated.
Meta bas idia cylindric to clavate, transversely septate, 3-4-celled, 25-45 x
4-5 II projectin g or not beyond the hymeniurn of th e host. Ster igmata up to
40 u long. Basidiospores ovoid with one side flat ten ed, hyalin e, srnoot h, apiculate,
5-7.5-(8.5) x 3-5 u. Conidia abse nt.
