AbstractTitle: MOHOST – screening tool experiences in Danish OccupationalTherapeutic practice.Objective: To investigate how Occupational Therapists with knowledge of thescreening tool MOHOST, experience the implementation and use of this tool.Method: The project was based on a qualitative design. Data was collected viafour semi-structured interviews. The interviews were conducted after aninterviewguide. Malterud’s systematic text condensation method was applied asanalysis method.Results: The ability to make a broad assessment was the main reasons toimplement MOHOST. Although the implementation process was timeconsuming, the respondents expected to utilise it more in future. They usedvarious time lines to collect data. They appreciated the flexibility of the methodand the ability of the screening tool to measure occupational participation. Yetthere were a few uncertainties in regards to calculating a score. The screeningresults could lead to further investigation and treatment and were useful indocumentation. The concepts of MOHOST were applicable in communicationand documentation in relation to other professions which gave a betterunderstanding and increased their professional assurance.Conclusion: The investigation showed that the respondents in general hadpositive experiences with using MOHOST. Due to the project’s validity it isassessed that MOHOST is applicable in Danish Occupational Therapeuticpractice.Mesh terms: MOHOST, assessment tool, occupational participation, MOHO,occupational therapy.
