go for lunch at the mill yard café Møllecaféen.
The abbey also serves as the entry point to the
National Park of Royal North Sealand.
ON TWO WHEELS
North Sealand is the place to bike. The distances
are short, and you can always jump on a train
and make your way back. Bring your own bike
or rent at Nordkystens Cykeludlejning. Book in
advance and have it delivered to your accommodation.

Watch the kite surfers from the beach and snatch that
Instagram shot of the iconic, colourful bathing houses. Move
inland and find your way to vineyards and farms shops, such as
Garbolund and Ørby Vingaard.

DRONNINGMØLLE
The beach at Dronningmølle is child-friendly and among the
best on the coast. A cosy coastal town located close to the
beautiful nature area of Rusland – perfect for a walk or picnic.
Do not miss a visit to Rudolph Tegners Museum – sculptures
in a truly unique setting. Closer to Gilleleje, you will find
Munkeruphus, an art museum with changing exhibitions, café,
beach and garden.
HERE ARE SOME “MUST-SEES”
■ Route 47 “Nordkystruten”, a signposted bike route of 68 km
following the North Coast.
■ Route 33, a signposted bike route of 27 km from Gilleleje to
Hillerød, is a quiet and scenic route with great sightseeing at
both destinations.
■ MTB route in Tisvilde Hegn, 28 km long, follow the blue dots.
Park at Tisvilde Strand or Asserbo Castle Ruin.
■ The best way to experience the Par Force Hunting
Landscape is by bike. Take the train to Gribsø station, and
you will find yourself in the middle of it or take the bike route
105 from Hillerød.
