Further ahead, a small stone bridge crosses the Nivåen. Follow the signs to Nivaagaards Teglværks Ringovn, the world's oldest of its kind and a testament to Nivå's industrial history. The next noteworthy stop is Nivaagaards Malerisamling with its impressive collection of European Baroque, Renaissance, and Danish Golden Age art. The museum café is right by the large park with thousands of beautiful rhododendrons. Follow Gammel Strandvej to the small parking lot and then turn left onto Strandvejen. In the nature reserve on the beach, you can see flocks of waders and other water birds resting on their migration north or south. Walk from Strandvejen onto the path along the beach park to the shallow beach and onwards to the harbour, where there is an ice cream shop and barbecue areas near the quay. At the traffic light, turn right and shortly after, turn right again to walk along the old clay pit. The path leads out to Gammel Strandvej with beautiful large villas. At the curve, turn left and follow the path through Lave Skov, a small hilly forest area. You'll meet Gammel Strandvej again, which leads you along the clay pits filled with water. Today, the lakes provide habitat for plants, animals, and birds, including the rare kingfisher. At the T-junction at Antons (the bakery), turn left and head back to Nivå Station.
