VGB PowerTech was founded in Leuna in 1920 as voluntary association of companies,
for which power plant operation and the related technology are an important
basis of their business. Our goal is to promote and optimise operational safety, environmental
compatibility, availability and economy of existing members’ plants and
plants to be constructed for power and heat generation. Besides, VGB co-operates in
the standardisation and preparation of technical rules for power plant engineering.
Currently, VGB is having 446 members in 33 countries.

Tasks
Advising German and international technical committees as well as realisation of their
activities, co-operation with other associations, representation of interests of power
plant operators in standardisation committees. Furthermore, the applicant is responsible
for technical and organisational matters of research projects and technical conferences.
Request
The willingness to act and work on own initiative within the team is a necessary prerequisite.
We look for profound knowledge in the field of building materials (nonmetallic
inorganic materials). Precondition is a fluent faculty of speech and writing in
German and English language (advisor of German and English-speaking committees),
knowledge of common PC software (MS office).
