authentic texts as a basis for a discussion course focussing<br />
on subjects of current and general interest.<br />

In this course we will have the pleasure to find out<br />
about what else British people are interested in. How? Reading<br />
articles from British weekend papers will be our main<br />
source, but also TV programmes and films provide a good<br />
insight to the British way of life. Are you also interested in<br />
politics, in crime and justice, in celebrities and common people,<br />
in health, sports and education and finally in literature,<br />
theatre and arts? Would you like to practise conversation?<br />

This is an advanced discussion group for people interested<br />
in talking in English about a variety of different topics. We<br />
shall continue to read items from the international press and<br />
literature extracts but also use the New Cambridge Advanced<br />
English student‘s book as a basis for language study<br />
and discussion.<br />
