de-centred play is a trio for four performers and an empty stage. It is an
investigation into the making of place and re-place, featuring an invisible
set and other mysterious obstacles. Since 2008 Gabriele Reuter has developed
several solo works around the notion of space as material for performance,
drawing on the capacity of an audience to imagine texture, colour,
purpose and history into and onto the empty space of a stage. This piece is
a first translation of this research into a group process.
