Part one: a solo from Rosalind Crisp for Angela Schubot dealing with transformation,
creeping processes and precipitous conversions
Part two: echos, squeeks and responses from Rosalind Crisp
Rosalind‘s style says ‘goodbye’ continuously to the passing, lets fall the
tracks it makes, acts with no assumption about cause and effect. In this
project Angela is thrust into ‘live‘ transformation.
How much do we expect ourselves to change, and others to change? Which
tensions set change free? What do they let collapse? Does it lead to participation
or disassociation? Which emotions are released? What takes place
around the change? Does something change so that something can continue?
What remains unchanged by the change?
Notes on the future of danse is a collaboration between Angela Schubot (Two
Fish) Berlin and Rosalind Crisp (Omeo Dance) Paris, based on elements of
Rosalind‘s danse practice. The danse practice deals with a dynamic set
of principles which guide the negotiation of movement by the dancer and
focus her attention on the continual process of creating movement from
any part of her body, at any speed or level, with any effort or duration ...
at any time.
