RIGblaster Soundkarten-Interfaces 

Die Firma West Mountain Radio bietet seit einiger Zeit 

die sehr erfolgreichen RIGblaster Interfaces 

an. Diese Soundkarten-Interfaces dienen 

dazu einen beliebigen Transceiver an die 

Soundkarte des PCs anzuschliessen. 

Dadurch wird der Betrieb mit digitalen 

Betriebsarten wie PSK31, RTTY, SSTV 

uvm. sehr erleichtert bzw. überhaupt erst 

möglich. Natürlich wird auch noch Software 

dazu benötigt... 

Das RIGblaster Interface wird an den Mikrofoneingang 

des Transceivers angeschlossen, das Mikro an den 

RigBlaster. Je nach Modell ist eine schnelle 

Umschaltung zw. Soundkarte und Mikrofon möglich. 

Das Interface sorgt für die automatische PTT-Tastung

RIGblaster soundcard interfaces 

West Mountain Radio offers the well renowned 

RIGblaster series of soundcard 

interfaces. These interfaces help in 

connecting nearly any transceiver to 

your PC’s soundcard. This enables 

you to use digital modes like PSK31, 

Pactor, Amtor, RTTY, SSTV and 

many other modes, all you can do 

with your soundcard software. 

The RIGblaster interface is connected to the 

microphone connector of your transceiver, the 

microphone then to the RIGblaster. Depending on 

model an easy audio selection (Mic, Soundcard) is 

possible. The interface offers an automatic PTT keying, 

the audio is isolated to prevent noise loops. Some 

models offer a level converter for CAT control. With all 

these functions you have all you need for a digital mode

‘Master Antenna Controller’, automatic antenna tuner, 

antenna switch and SWR meter, all in one box. With the 

MAC-200 you can select up to 5 antennas, three coax 

fed, one with parallel wires and one end fed longwire. 

The integrated antenna tuner matches all 

connected antennas. Like with all other 

SGC tuners the once found match is 

memorized, future tuning at that frequency 

is achieved much faster (10millisec.

The LDG Z-100 is a new automatic antenna tuner for 

1.8 to 54MHz, rated at 0.1 t o125 Watt SSB/CW power 

(100W in FM, 30W on 6m).

(100W FM, 30 Watt auf 6m) Ausgangsleistung. Der 

Tuner ist für praktisch jede unsymmetrisch gespeiste 

Antenne (Beams, Dipol, Groundplane) geeignet. Falls 

für Langdrahtantennen der Abstimmbereich nicht 

ausreichen sollte, kann ein 1:4-Balun (symmetrisch) 

oder ein MTFT (unsymmetrisch) zwischen Tuner und 

Antenne geschaltet werden (nicht im 

Lieferumfang enthalten). Der Tuner hat 

200 Speicher für einmal gefundene 

Einstellungen, die Abstimmzeit bei bereits 

bekannten Frequenzen wird so auf einige 

Millisekunden verkürzt. Wenn nicht aus 

dem Speicher abgestimmt werden kann beträgt die 

durchnittliche Abstimmzeit 3 Sekunden. Durch die 

Verwendung von bistabilen Relais ist der Tuner 

besonders gut für QRP-Betrieb geeignet: nach 

erfolgtem Abstimmvorgang geht der Tuner in standby- 

Betrieb mit nur 8 uA Stromaufnahme (!) über. Während 

des Abstimmvorgangs steigt die Stromaufnahme für 

wenige Sekunden auf bis zu 0,3 A an. Der Tuner hat 2 

LEDs zur Grobanzeige des erreichten SWR.

USB CAT-Interfaces 

Endlich ein CAT-Interface für USB! Viele moderne 

Notebooks haben nur noch USB- und keine COM- 

Schnittstelle. Bei Desktop PCs ist die 

einzige COM-Schnittstelle häufig schon 

belegt. Es können beliebig viele USB-CAT 

Interfaces an einen PC angeschlossen 

werden. Die USB-Interfaces unterstützen 

Win 98/ME / 2000/XP, Linux 2.4.x und

- Z-100 Continued - 

The tuner can be used with practically all unbalacend 

antennas like beams, dipoles and groundplanes. If the 

tuning range is insufficient for a longwire antenna, an 

additional 1:4 balun (symmetric) or MTFT 

(unsymmetric) should be used between tuner and 

antenna (balun not included). The 

tuner has 200 memories for once 

found matches, dramatically reducing 

tuning time to some milliseconds at 

frequencies tuned before. If the 

frequency cannot be found in memory 

tuning takes typically up to 3 seconds. Due to the use of 

bi-stable latching relays the power consumption is very 

low, very useful for QRP operations: after tuning the unit 

requires only 8uA (typ.).While tuning the required power 

is approx. 0.3A. Two LEDs show the status of the tuning 

unit. 

Tuning range is 6 to 800 Ohm, SWR up to 10:1 (6m 3:1) 

is matched. Power supply 7 to 18V required. Size 140 x

USB-CAT Interfaces 

Finally a CAT interface for USB connection! Most 

current notebooks support only USB interfaces, no 

traditional serial ports. And on desktop 

PCs the serial COM port is already in 

use… Here the USB interface really 

helps. 

You can use as many USB interfaces as 

you like. Supported OS are Win98 / ME / 

2000 / XP, Linux kernel 2.4.x and up, 

Apple Macintosh OS-8 / OS-9 / OS-X. 

MS-DOS is not supported. The supplied 

driver software installs a virtual COM port which can be 

used by virtually all programs relying on standard serial 

ports. The level converter for the respective radio is

Bannerbadge 

Wenn Sie mal richtig auffallen wollen - ideal für 

Messen, Ausstellungen, Präsentationen, 

Vereinstreffen, Kongresse, Single-Parties usw. 

Das Bannerbadge stellt einen Lauftext in hell 

leuchtender, roter Schrift auf einer 

Leuchtdioden-Matrix dar. Dabei sind Texte bis 

zu 118 Zeichen frei programmierbar (nur 

Großbuchstaben, keine Umlaute), die 

Geschwindigkeit der Laufschrift ist einstellbar. 

Im Lieferumfang enthalten ist das Badge selbst, ein 

Programmiergerät das an die serielle Schnittstelle eines 

PCs angeschlossen wird, ein serielles Kabel, zwei 

Batterien und die Software für Windows ®. Eine Batterie 

(Standardtyp CR-2032, überall erhältlich) hält lange 

genug für eine zweitägige Messe. Das Bannerbadge 

wird mit einem starken Magneten an die Kleidung

Bannerbadge 

If you really want to attract some attention – 

ideal for trade shows, presentations, club 

meetings, single parties etc. The 

Bannerbadge presents a text stream on a 

bright red LED display matrix. Text can be up 

to 118 characters long and is freely 

programmable (CAPS only, no diacritic 

marks), the speed is variable. 

The Bannerbadge comes complete with a programming 

kit, Windows ® software for the PC and two batteries. A 

battery (CR-2032, easily available anywhere) lasts long 

enough for approx. a two day event. The programmer is 

connected to the serial port of a PC. The badge itself is 

attached to any piece of clothing with a strong magnet. 

Strong enough to hold tight, but gentle enough not to 

damage the cloth. 

Programming is done with the supplied software. Just 

enter the text, adjust the speed and hold the badge close 

to the programming adaptor – done.
