Mercedes Benz Sprinter - GTS-Generator im eingebauten Zustand<br />

GTS bietet ein komplett einbaufertiges Unterflurmodell mit<br />
GTS Generatoren der Baugröße BG 132 in zwei<br />
unterschiedlichen Versionen an:<br />
1. Vierpolige Generatoren die mit einer Drehzahl des zweiten<br />
Nebenantriebs (PTO) von 1500 U/min angetrieben werden.<br />
Das Leistungsspektrum der Generatoren reicht bei den<br />
vierpoligen Generatoren von 10 bis 15 kVA.<br />
2. Zweipolige Generatoren mit einem vorgebauten<br />
Planetengetriebe, die mit einer Drehzahl des zweiten PTO<br />
von 1000 U/min angetrieben werden. Das Leistungsspektrum<br />
bei den zweipoligen Generatoren reicht von 8,5 bis 20 kVA.<br />
Der GTS Generator läuft mit geringst möglicher<br />
Motordrehzahl, wodurch sich auch Treibstoffverbrauch und<br />
Geräuschemission des Fahrzeugs verringern. Insbesondere<br />
das von GTS eingesetzte robuste Planetengetriebe bringt<br />
dem Anwender im täglichen Einsatz unverzichtbare Vorteile.<br />
Da es einen direkten Durchtrieb hat, braucht es keinen<br />
winkeligen Wellenversatz und erreicht eine weit längere<br />
Lebensdauer als herkömmliche Unterflurgetriebe bei<br />
Generatoren.<br />

Zurzeit wird eine Feldversion der Anlage getestet, die Anfang<br />
nächsten Jahres serienreif werden wird. Da die neue Baureihe<br />
abwärtskompatibel ist kann sie selbstverständlich auch auf ältere<br />
iMAPLA- Modelle mit bestehenden MMIs etc. verwendet werden.<br />

GTS– Technology for Service Vehicles<br />
Saving space while generating power<br />
GTS has developed a <strong>generator</strong> system with an underfloor<br />
installation that saves space and enables mobile power<br />
generation for a variety of possible needs – such as electrical<br />
tools and air compressors for construction and canalization<br />
site vehicles, TV broadcasting vehicles, equipment for fire<br />
fighting vehicles or heating/cooling for mobile vendors. A<br />
service vehicle with underfloor system is constantly equipped<br />
with a tightly installed <strong>generator</strong> that is operated through an<br />
hydraulic drive or a power take off (PTO).<br />
GTS has specifically developed a reliable and compact<br />
<strong>generator</strong> for underfloor uses. Service vehicles of the<br />
so-called “sprinter class” with underfloor systems are limited<br />
in terms of carrying capacity and low ground clearance.<br />
Our underfloor systems generally weigh – depending on the<br />
vehicle – below 80kg and are therefore lighter than<br />
conventional emergency <strong>generator</strong>s. In addition underfloor<br />
<strong>generator</strong>s can compensate the use of a mobile emergency<br />
<strong>generator</strong>s. This eliminates the need for maintenance and<br />
extra fuels while saving storage space.<br />
GTS offers a complete underfloor model – ready-to-install –<br />
with GTS <strong>generator</strong>s type 132 in two versions:<br />
1. 4-pole <strong>generator</strong>s that are powered by PTO with an<br />
rpm-range of 1.500 U/min and have a range of nominal<br />
capacity between 10 – 15 kVA.<br />
2. 2-pole <strong>generator</strong>s with pre-fitted planetary gear that are<br />
powered by the second PTO and have a range of nominal<br />
capacity between 8,5 – 20 kVA.<br />
iMAPLA - Innovation<br />
The new compact „20 kW iMAPLA“- System<br />
GTS' intelligent magnet plate system (iMAPLA) has been a success<br />
in material handling and sorting for over 10 years. More than 20 000<br />
iMAPLA <strong>generator</strong>s have proofed to be efficient in the field –<br />
especially in heavy duty applications.<br />
For the 20 kW range <strong>generator</strong>s GTS has developed a special<br />
product which is robust, durable, and compact at once. Excavator<br />
manufacturers have struggled especially with the 20 kW series as the<br />
<strong>generator</strong>s are normally too large for being fitted into a material<br />
handling machine. So far the series (BG132) is available on the<br />
market only with a maximum of 17 kW.<br />
GTS’ new 20 kW series has despite its more compact design an<br />
efficient cooling system and a high life-expectancy. Additionally the<br />
controlling for this machine was optimized - in order to make its use<br />
even more efficient.<br />
This specifically developed machine can be fitted into various<br />
excavator types as its installation needs less space than previous<br />
models. With this model the use of larger magnet plates in smaller<br />
material handling machines will not cause any more problems.<br />
At the RWM exhibition (Resource & Waste Management, 11-13<br />
September, 20<strong>12</strong>) – Britain ’s largest recycling exhibition – potential<br />
users had the opportunity to take a first look at the new magnet plate<br />
system. Many visitors were impressed by the new series which can<br />
soon be ordered from GTS.<br />
Presently a field version of the system is being tested which will be<br />
ready for production at the beginning of next year. Being downward<br />
compatible the new series can be used with older iMAPLA- <strong>generator</strong><br />
models including MMIs etc.
