Die Dorfgemeinschaft Lautenbach – von Hans Dackweiler im Jahr 1971 gegründet
ist Heimat für seelen-pflegebedürftige Menschen. In unserer Lebens- und Arbeitsgemeinschaft leben
und arbeiten über 250 Menschen. Davon sind 135 in den Werkstätten für behinderte Menschen beschäftigt,
ca. 30 Schüler besuchen unsere Sonderschule G. Hinzu kommen einige Schüler und Werkstattbesucher,
die außerhalb Lautenbachs wohnen.
• ein Dorf mit einem Kultur-Café, dem Naturkostladen QUERBEET, einer Buchhandlung, dem Geschenkeladen
und Werksverkauf s’LÄDELE
• die Metallwerkstatt, die Holzwerkstatt, die Keramik- und Kachelwerkstatt, die Papier- und Lederwerkstatt,
die Weberei und die Betonwerkstatt
• die Demeter-Gärtnerei, die über 300 Menschen mit Gemüse und Obst und im Frühjahr auch mit
einem reichhaltigen Angebot an getopften Beet- und Balkonblumen sowie mit Kräutern und Gemüsesetzlingen
versorgt.
• der Magdalenenhof, unser moderner Milchvieh-, Schweine- und Ackerbaubetrieb, der nach den
Richtlinien des Demeterbundes 100 Hektar Land biologisch-dynamisch bewirtschaftet.
• die Lehr- und Lernzeit – unsere Werkstufe (Sonderschule G), hier finden Jugendliche um das 16. Lebensjahr
Aufnahme, die das 9. bzw. 10. Schuljahr einer Sonderschule G beendet haben.
• die Fachschule für Sozialwesen auf anthroposophischer Grundlage. Junge Menschen können eine
3-jährige Ausbildung zum/zur staatlich anerkannten Heilerziehungspfleger/-in absolvieren.
• ein anerkannter Ausbildungsbetrieb für Landwirte, Gärtner, Schreiner, Keramiker und Handweber
• eine anerkannte Zivildienststelle
In unseren Werkstattbereichen entstehen hochwertige Produkte in Kleinserien für die verschiedensten
Bereiche des Alltages, für Kinder und Erwachsene, für Menschen mit und ohne Behinderungen. Wir arbeiten
ausschließlich mit Materialien, die uns die Natur liefert: Holz, Metall, Wolle, Ton, Papier, Leder.
Bei der Herstellung unserer Produkte achten wir streng darauf, dass nur umwelt-freundliche Zusätze
verwendet werden.
Made in Germany – das ist für uns kein Werbeslogan, das ist ein Gütesiegel und gelebter Arbeitsalltag.

The Lautenbach Village Commune – Founded by Hans Dackweiler in 1971 - consists of:
A home for individuals in need of special care of the soul. Over 250 people live and work in our commune. Of those,
135 are employed in the workshops for the disabled and approximately 30 students attend our Special School
G. There are also a number of students and workshop visitors who live outside of Lautenbach.
• A village with a Cultural Café, a natural foods market QUERBEET, a bookstore, and a gift shop and workshop sales
outlet s’LÄDELE
• A metal workshop, a woodworking shop, a ceramic and tile workshop, a paper and leather studio, a weaving
mill, and a concrete shop.
• A Demeter nursery that supplies more than 300 people with vegetables and fruit, and in the spring also with an
abundance of potted flowering bed and balcony plants, as well as with herbs and vegetable seedlings.
• The Magdalenenhof, our modern dairy, hog, and agricultural operations that farm 100 hectares of land in accordance
with the Demeter Association guidelines for biodynamic farming.
• An apprenticeship and training program – our factory level (Special School G), for young people about 16 years
old who have completed the 9th or 10th class of a Special School G.
• An anthroposophical vocational school where young people can complete a 3-year program for certification as
state licensed curative teachers and social therapists.
• A recognized training facility for farmers, gardeners, carpenters, and ceramic and hand-weaving artists.
• A recognized alternative civilian service facility.
In our workshops top-quality products are produced in small quantities for various areas of everyday life for children
and adults with and without disabilities. We work exclusively with materials that nature supplies – wood, metal,
wool, clay, paper, and leather – and take strict care that only environmentally compatible additives are used in the
manufacture of our products.
