In der Umgangssprache des Flughafens haben sich feststehende Begriffe gebildet.
Um Ihnen das Lesen des Flugplans zu erleichtern, werden sie nachfolgend
erläutert:
Pax Passagier, Fluggast.
Check-in Aufgeben des Reisegepäcks am Check-in-Schalter, Erhalt der
Bordkarte mit Sitzplatz. Bitte Ausweis und Flugticket bereithalten.
Vorabend-
Check-in Möglichkeit am Vorabend des Abflugs Reisegepäck für Flüge
bis 12:00 Uhr des Folgetages aufzugeben.
Etix Elektronisches Ticket: Möglichkeit zum Einchecken am
Quick-Check-in Automaten.
Ticket Flugschein der jeweiligen Fluggesellschaft, beim Check-in vorzuzeigen
Gate Wartebereich, Ausgang zum Flugzeug.
Boarding Einsteigevorgang am Gate, bitte Ausweis und Bordkarte bereithalten.
Follow me Fahrzeug, das ein Flugzeug zur Parkpositionen leitet.
Typisch sind Rundumleuchte und die gelb-schwarze Lackierung.
Push back Zurückschieben des Flugzeugs von der Parkposition auf die Rollbahn.
Bag tag Gepäckabschnitt, der beim Check-in am Gepäckstück befestigt wird,
versehen mit Endziel und Flugnummer.
Wichtig falls Gepäck verloren geht.
Catering Versorgung mit fertigem Essen an Bord.
Certain set terminology has evolved as “airport speak”. The explanation of the
following terms will help you to understand the timetable more easily:
Pax Passenger, person traveling on flight.
Check-in Where one can check-in luggage and receive his/her boarding card.
Please keep your ID and ticket ready.
Late-night
check-in Option to check in luggage for departures till 12:00 noon the next day.
Etix Electronic ticket: option to check in at the Quick Check-in machines.
Ticket Flight ticket from the airline with which you are flying;
must be presented during check-in.
Gate Waiting area; exit to plane.
Boarding Boarding procedure at gate; please keep your ID and boarding card
ready.
Follow me Vehicle which guides an airplane into parking position.
The rotating light and yellow/black painting are typical
characteristics.
Push back Pushing the airplane out of parking position onto the
taxiway.
Bag tag Baggage label which is attached to a piece of luggage at check-in;
indicates the final destination and flight number. Important in case
luggage is mislaid.
Catering Provision of ready-to-eat meals on board.
