thermoesche NATwood ® / thermal ash NATwood ®
The patented NATwood ® process consists of three main steps: heating, charging,
and cooling. After thermal treatment, the natural wood resins are forced
into the wood under pressure. The timeconsuming “NATwood deep treatment”
method covers the cell walls with a water-repellent protective layer. In the last step,
the wood is carefully cooled in the cooling chamber. The combination of both
processes (thermal treatment and NATwood ® ) results in a revolutionary derived
timber product since the advantages of both processes are consolidated in one
single product.
NATwood ® for maximum loads:
■ Up to 60 % more hardness
■ High dimensional stability – fewer fractures outdoors
■ Up to 50 % less swelling and shrinking under the effect of moisture
■ Maximum resistance to impressions
