„Überragende Naturerscheinungen, Gebiete von außergewöhnlicher<br />
Naturschönheit und ästhetischer Bedeutung“ sind würdig, zum<br />
Welterbe erklärt zu werden. Wer den <strong>Rosengarten</strong> im letzten Abendlicht<br />
über dunklen Wäldern aufglühen sieht, versteht sofort, warum<br />
die Dolomiten wegen ihrer landschaftlichen Einzigartigkeit sowie<br />
wegen ihrer geologischen und geomorphologischen Besonderheiten<br />
in die Welterbeliste eingetragen wurden. Ein wichtiger Aspekt ist auch<br />
die botanische Vielfalt von über 2.400 Pflanzenarten, die in den großflächigen<br />
Natur- und Nationalparks besonders geschützt werden.<br />
Enrosadira oder Alpenglühen: Je nach den Lichtverhältnissen wechselt<br />
das Dolomitgestein seine Farbe, blass in der Mittagssonne, in warmen<br />
Farbtönen von Orange bis Violett leuchtend bei Sonnenauf- und<br />
-untergang sowie kalt und bleich bei Mondschein.<br />
Der 1974 gegründete Naturpark Schlern-<strong>Rosengarten</strong> ist der älteste<br />
Naturpark Südtirols, er bedeckt eine Fläche von 6.796 Hektar, von<br />
denen ein gutes Drittel auf dem Gemeindegebiet von <strong>Tiers</strong> liegt. Mehrere<br />
hier beginnende Wanderwege bilden seinen südlichen Zugang.<br />
Der <strong>Rosengarten</strong> mit seinen schmalen Graten, isoliert stehenden<br />
Felstürmen und tief eingeschnittenen Schluchten sowie der massive<br />
Rücken des Schlern sind zwei der markantesten Bergmassive Südtirols.<br />

e d’importanza estetica”. Chi ha l’opportunità di <strong>am</strong>mirare il<br />
Catinaccio all’imbrunire, con i giochi di luce che riverberano sui<br />
boschi scuri sottostanti, capirà subito perché le Dolomiti sono<br />
state inserite nella lista del Patrimonio Mondiale per la loro unicità<br />
naturale e per le loro caratteristiche geologiche e geomorfologiche.<br />

If you see the <strong>Rosengarten</strong> ‘light up’ in the last evening sunrays, you<br />
know exactly why the Dolomites have been nominated to be included<br />
in the list of world heritage sites: it was due to the geological<br />
and geomorphological appearance. Enrosadira, also called ‘Alpine<br />
Glow’ is one of the reasons why the Dolomites are so special.<br />
These phenomena shows that the Dolomite stones change their<br />
colour depending on the lighting conditions. In the midday sun, it<br />

Sanftes Grün<br />
und rauer Fels<br />
Unter Bergsteigern gilt <strong>Tiers</strong> <strong>am</strong> <strong>Rosengarten</strong> schon seit<br />
dem Aufblühen des Alpinismus im vorletzten Jahrhundert<br />
als idealer Ausgangspunkt für Klettertouren in den<br />
<strong>Rosengarten</strong>. Man muss aber nicht unbedingt mit Seil und<br />
Haken unterwegs sein, um die faszinierende Bergwelt<br />
zu erleben. Ein dichtes, an die 600 km langes Netz an<br />
Wanderwegen erschließt den <strong>Rosengarten</strong>, Latemar und<br />
Schlern sowie die Seiseralm, die größte Hochalm Europas.<br />
Der Lohn der Mühe erwartet die Wanderer in den<br />
Berghütten. Herzhafte Brotzeiten, Südtiroler Spezialitäten<br />
und hausgemachter Kuchen geben Kraft für den Heimweg.<br />
Mit Wanderbus und Ruftaxi gelangt man bequem zum<br />
Ausgangspunkt oder zurück zum Quartier. Die Hütten sind<br />
während der ungewöhnlich langen Wandersaison von Ende<br />
April bis Oktober/November bewirtschaftet.<br />

Già agli esordi dell’alpinismo nello scorso secolo, Tires al<br />
Catinaccio era ritenuto dagli alpinisti un eccezionale punto<br />
di partenza per i tour di arr<strong>am</strong>picata nel comprensorio del<br />
Catinaccio. Tuttavia non bisogna, per forza, essere muniti di<br />
funi e ganci per esplorare questo affascinante mondo alpino.<br />
Il comprensorio del Catinaccio, Latemar, Sciliar e l’Alpe di Siusi<br />
è ricco di percorsi escursionistici che si estendono per oltre 600<br />
km. Presso le numerose baite, gli alpinisti sono premiati per le<br />
loro fatiche con gustose merende, a base di specialità altoatesine<br />
e torte fatte in casa che forniscono l’energia necessaria per<br />
affrontare il ritorno a casa. Il punto di partenza o l’Hotel potranno<br />
essere facilmente raggiunti con l’autobus istituito apposit<strong>am</strong>ente<br />
per gli escursionisti o con un taxi. Durante la stagione<br />
escursionistica le baite sono aperte per un periodo molto<br />
lungo che va da fine aprile fino ad ottobre/novembre.<br />
Soft green meadows and<br />
rough rock formations<br />
Amongst mountain climbers, <strong>Tiers</strong> <strong>am</strong> <strong>Rosengarten</strong> is renowned<br />
since the early 19th Century, when alpinism c<strong>am</strong>e into being. The<br />
village is an ideal starting point for numerous climbing tours into<br />
the <strong>Rosengarten</strong> area. However, it is not necessary to undertake<br />
some serious climbing in order to experience this fascinating<br />
mountain world. A well-established 600 km long network of hiking<br />
trails are part of the <strong>Rosengarten</strong>, Latemar and Schlern, as<br />
well as the Seiser Alm, Europe’s largest high-Alpine region. Never<br />
mind what way you approach it, the hiker or climber will certainly<br />
be rewarded once he arrives at one of the mountain refuge huts.<br />
There are snack bars and restaurants, serving breads and platters<br />
of cold meats, South Tyrolean specialities and home-made cakes<br />
in order to help you gain strength again for your homeward journey.<br />
There is also a hiking bus and taxi available which return you<br />
safely to your starting point or bring you back to the hotel. Due<br />
to the long hiking season, the mountain huts are open from end<br />
of April to October/November.<br />

<strong>Tiers</strong> in den Südtiroler Dolomiten bietet<br />
Wintererlebnisse für Schneegenießer<br />
Skifahrer und Snowboarder bringt der Skibus im<br />
Halbstundentakt von <strong>Tiers</strong> <strong>am</strong> <strong>Rosengarten</strong> in unser Skigebiet<br />
Carezza – Karersee, das vom ADAC Skiguide zum Top Skigebiet<br />
und Aufsteiger des Jahres 2010 gekürt wurde. 16 Liftanlagen<br />
erschließen 40 km Pisten, auf denen 170 Schneekanonen<br />
Schneesicherheit von Dezember bis April garantieren. Mit<br />
durchschnittlich 8 Sonnenstunden pro Wintertag zählt Carezza<br />
zu den sonnigsten Skigebieten Südtirols. Der Snowpark<br />
Christomannos, ein Skikindergarten und ein Schneespielpark<br />
sprechen die jungen und jugendlichen Wintersportler im zum<br />
Dolomiti Superski gehörenden Skigebiet Carezza – Karersee an,<br />
die Nordic-Fans ziehen auf 16 km Loipen ihre Runden.<br />
Winter in den Südtiroler Dolomiten bedeutet für die meisten<br />
Menschen großes Skivergnügen auf endlosen Pistenkilometern.<br />
Dabei gibt es in <strong>Tiers</strong> <strong>am</strong> <strong>Rosengarten</strong> noch eine ganz andere<br />
Seite des Südtiroler Winters zu entdecken. Abseits der Pisten<br />
betritt man auf Schneeschuhen das Reich der Zwerge und Feen,<br />
die in der Vorstellung der Menschen früherer Jahrhunderte die<br />
felsigen Höhen bewohnten. Beim Anblick der schroffen Zinnen,<br />
bizarren Eisgebilde und wehenden Schneefahnen möchte man<br />
auch heutzutage gerne daran glauben, dass König Laurin und<br />
die schöne Prinzessin Similde noch dort oben hausen.<br />

40 km di piste, dove sono allocati 170 cannoni spara neve che<br />
garantiscono la neve da dicembre fino ad aprile. Carezza è<br />
uno dei comprensori più soleggiati dell’Alto Adige. La regione<br />
Carezza-Karesee fa parte della zona sciistica Dolomiti Superski.<br />
Lo Snowpark Christomannos, un asilo sugli sci e un parco<br />
giochi sulla neve attraggono b<strong>am</strong>bini e giovani entusiasti degli<br />
sport invernali. Gli appassionati dello sci di fondo potranno<br />
disporre di 16 km di piste.<br />
A Tires al Catinaccio l’inverno però ha molte sfaccettature.<br />
Lontano dalle piste si possono vivere momenti indimenticabili<br />
circondati dalla natura, durante escursioni con le racchette da<br />
neve. La vista delle guglie frastagliate, le bizzarre formazioni di<br />
ghiaccio ci fanno immaginare il fantastico mondo di Re Laurino<br />
che insieme alla sua Principessa Similde pare abitare ancora nel<br />
castello di roccia sulle cime delle vette.<br />
