Meeting Highlights
� The 3D Visualization Requirements Definition ad
hoc Group has finalized their document, final
comments were added at this meeting.
� Work on format selection is now started
� JT, U3D and COLLADA formats were
represented and provided responses to the
requirements
� Howard Mason (SC4 Chair) will coordinate
sessions with the remaining format candidates to
gather their requirements responses
� Estimated completion in 6 weeks
� Format candidates not at the meeting : X3D,
3D-XML,, MPEG-4 and XVL
� Discussion around having format analysis done by
a separate body
� No final decisions were made on this topic
� Based on findings of the 3D Visualization Format
Selection ad hoc groups next steps will be to
harvest documents or determine if a Work Group
for 3D Visualization is required
