Why we do this?
Because we can! And, actually we have unused equipment for it…
Über 90% aller Festkörper sind optisch anisotrop.
Informationen über Struktur und Zusammensetzungen können
aufgrund der Wechselwirkung von polarisiertem Licht mit Materie
erhalten werden.
Anwendungen: Geologie, Materialwissenschaften, Chemie, Biologie,
Medizin.
Cosmopolitan Martini
This one is difficult to find, and we have been told of about a dozen different recipes for the Cosmopolitan Martini.
The one most frequently noted is: 1 ounce of Vodka (Absolut), 3/4 ounce Triple Sec, filled with cranberry juice. The
drink is served in a chilled martini glass straight up.
Beck's
Text from the bottle label: Beck's is brewed in strict accordance with the "Reinheitsgebot", the German purity law of 1516,
which stipulates that only the natural ingredients of barley‐malt, hops, yeast and brewing water be used in the brewing
process. Brewed and bottled by Beck and Company Brauerei, Bremen, Germany.
Sildenafil (Viagra)
Viagra is an exciting new drug that was introduced by Pfizer to treat impotence in men. The drug is a synthetic heterocyclic
piperazine derivative that acts by selective inhibition of cyclic guanosine monophosphate (cGMP) phosphodiesterase type 5
allowing a relaxation of smooth muscles and inflow of blood to the corpus cavernosum, a condition that leads to erection during
sexual stimulation. Because viagra serves to lower blood pressure in parts of the body it should not be taken in conjunction with
nitrates, such as nitroglycerin, because in combination they can lower blood pressure too much. Side effects include headache,
flushing, upset stomach, urinary tract infection, and diarrhea.
