METAL TILES<br />
Over the years these tiles have been traditionally used<br />
for creating decorative ceiling and wall features,<br />
however they have many other applications - shop<br />
counters, bar fronts and any interior wall surface.<br />
They are used extensively in restaurant and bar<br />
interiors, as well as for retail and office<br />
environments.<br />
Manufactured in high quality 0.25 mm steel,<br />
there is a wide range of designs to choose<br />
from. The tiles are formed on an original<br />
‘Mammoth’ power press, which dates back<br />
to 1896. This delivers 800 tons of force,<br />
ensuring consistent quality and sharp detail<br />
every time.<br />
The tiles are easy to install, have good fire<br />
resistance and are low maintenance. They do not<br />
absorb sound, so are popular in many hospitality venues<br />
to help create atmosphere. However where acoustics are<br />
important, they can be supplied in perforated steel, allowing<br />
sound to be absorbed.<br />
What size should you order? Each tile design is available in<br />
Mammoth power press<br />
three size options to suit your preferred method<br />
of installation. The large rectangular 1220 ×<br />
610 mm format is used when choosing the<br />
traditional method of fixing (nailed onto wood<br />
grounds or plywood attached to the ceiling),<br />
which is still considered the most versatile for<br />
creating the authentic look. Alternatively, for<br />
easier installation, we offer square tiles to fit<br />
either imperial (610 × 610 mm), or metric<br />
(595 × 595 mm) suspended ceiling systems.<br />

on request and online. If you are in any<br />
doubt which size to order please ring for<br />
advice.<br />
Note: Metal tiles are pressed from sheet steel<br />
and as a consequence will include imperfections<br />
in the detail of each tile. We consider this part of<br />
the hand-crafted manufacturing process and in our opinion it<br />
does not detract from the overall effect.<br />
