With a 219.5, NRHA Million Dollar Rider and triple NRHA World
Champion Open Rudi Kronsteiner earned his fourth AustrianRHA
Futurity Open L4 Championship, this time aboard Shine N Dixie.
The 3-year-old AQHA stallion by Shine Chic Shine out of Nu Dixie
Chex was bred by Kirsten Buffamayer and is owned by Georg Hiltner.
The two had already been leading after the go round, together
with Markus Schöpfer aboard B My Sweet Dream and Gennaro
Lendi (ITA) aboard Bluetrashsailor.
The Reserve Championship L4 and Intermediate Open Championship
went to Klaus Lechner aboard Astrid Eisendle’s Trashy, who
scored a 218. The mare is by Gunnatrashya out of ARC Martha
Surprise and was bred by Remo Cardi. Lechner was 2011 Austrian
Futurity Finalist Top 5, 2012 European Champion Limited Open
and Austrian Circuit Champion Limited Open, 2013 Austrian Maturity
Champion L2 Open, Austrian Futurity Champion L1 & L2
and European Derby Champion L1 Open as well as 2014 Austrian
Maturity Reserve Champion Level 3 Open and Austrian Futurity
Finalist Open Level 3 & 4. In 2015, he placed fourth at the FEI
European Championship.
Lechner also rode Hope and Chic (Chic Magnetic x Hope And
Surprise, breeder and owner Alessandro Cazzaniga) to second
place honours in Intermediate Open scoring a 217, followed by Lukasz
Czechowicz aboard Andrzej Ciok’s mare Frozen Spookiness
(Smart Spook x Frozen Slide, 216,5), and tied for third place in L4
with FEI World Champion Gennaro Lendi aboard JM Walla Big
Star (Walla Walla Whiz x Ice Crazy Candy, owner Quarter Dream).
