Das ICM - Institut Chemnitzer Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V. unterstützt seit 1992 kleine und mittlere
Unternehmen in der Umsetzung ihrer innovativen Ideen. Im Institut werden Ideen für zukunftsorientierte
Prozesse und Produkte entwickelt und in der Industrieforschung bearbeitet. Unter dem Motto
„Vernetzte Forschung und Entwicklung“ stellt sich das Institut anwendungsorientierten Fragestellungen
aus den Bereichen der Produkt- und Prozessentwicklung. Die Kompetenzen aus Unternehmen
und Wissenschaft werden anschließend in strategisch ausgerichteten Verbünden zusammengeführt.
Aus diesen Netzwerken werden Forschungs- und Entwicklungsleistungen initiiert, gemeinsam umgesetzt
sowie die Erprobung und der Technologietransfer innovativer Ideen für Produkte und Leistungen
durchgeführt. Das ICM e.V. ist Partner für direkte Aufgabenstellungen aus kleinen und mittelständischen
Unternehmen. Auf Basis dessen werden durch Einbindung aktueller Forschungsergebnisse
neue Produkte und Technologien mit höchster Effektivität und Effizienz realisiert.
Das ICM e.V. stellt sich in den folgenden Kompetenzfeldern den Frage- und Problemstellungen aus

ICM - Institut Chemnitzer Maschinen- und Anlagenbau e.V. [Chemnitz Institute for Mechanical and
Industrial Engineering, Incorporated Association] has been supporting small and medium-sized enterprises
in implementing their innovative ideas since 1992. At the Institute, ideas for future-oriented
processes and products are developed and dealt with in industrial research. In keeping with the motto
“Integrated research and development”, the Institute responds to application-oriented questions relating
to product and process development. The skills from enterprises and science are then combined in
strategically aligned networks. These networks are designed to initiate and jointly implement research
and development services and to carry out the testing and technology transfer of the innovative ideas
for products and services. ICM e.V. is the partner for direct tasks from small and medium-sized enterprises.
New products and technologies are accordingly realized with the highest effectiveness and
efficiency while current research results are being integrated.
