DB RegioNetz Verkehrs GmbH
Die DB RegioNetz Infrastruktur und die Verkehrs GmbH sind jeweils Töchter der DB Netz AG und DB
Regio AG. Als Profitcenter Erzgebirgsbahn agieren sie im mittleren Erzgebirge als Infrastrukturbetreiber
und Verkehrdienstleister für SPNV. Die Infrastuktur beinhaltet 217 Streckenkilometer und über 70
Verkehrsstationen, welche betrieben und instandgehalten werden. Dies betrifft die Strecken Flöha -
Olbernhau-Grünthal mit SPNV von Chemnitz Hbf bis Cranzahl, die Strecke Chemnitz Hbf – Aue und die
Strecke Zwickau Hbf – Johanngeorgenstadt mit SPNV auf den gesamten Strecken.
Mit einem Stundentakt in der Woche und einem Zweistundentakt am Wochenende verkehren die
Triebwagen der Baureihe 642 auf den Strecken. Die modern eingerichteten Fahrzeuge verfügen über
Klimaanlagen, behindertengerechten Zugang und WC Anlage. Des Weiteren wird den Reisenden über
Internet bzw. eine App die Pünktlichkeit der Züge der Erzgebirgsbahn und die möglichen Anschlussbeziehungen
in Echtzeit angezeigt.
Auf den Strecken der Erzgebirgsbahn werden verschiedenste Betriebsverfahren angewandt. Zum einen
sind das der Zugmeldebetrieb gemäß Ril408 und der Zugleitbetrieb nach FV-NE sowie der Zugmeldebetrieb
nach FV-NE. Alle Strecken sind mit einer Zugsicherung ausgerüstet. Auf den Strecken mit
Zugleitbetrieb ist eine Technische Unterstützung implementiert.
Die Infrastrukturanlagen der Erzgebirgsbahn werden durch eigene Fachkräfte selbst instandgehalten.
Instandhaltungsleistungen und Abnahmen sind sowohl für die eigene Infrastruktur, als auch für externe
Kunden leistbar.
DB RegioNetz Infrastruktur and Verkehrs GmbH are subsidiaries of DB Netz AG and DB Regio AG,
respectively. As the Erzgebirgsbahn profit center, they act in the middle Ore Mountain region as an
infrastructure operator and transportation services provider for regional passenger transport services
[SPNV]. The infrastructure includes 217 kilometers of line and more than 70 stations, which are operated
and maintained. This relates to the routes Flöha - Olbernhau-Grünthal providing SPNV from
Chemnitz main station to Cranzahl, the route Chemnitz main station – Aue and the route Zwickau main
station – Johanngeorgenstadt providing SPNV on the entire routes.
The multiple units of the 642 construction series are operated on the routes every hour during the week
and at two-hour intervals at weekends. The vehicles are provided with modern equipment, including air
conditioning systems, entries for handicapped people and WC facilities. In addition, the passengers are
shown the punctuality of the Erzgebirgsbahn trains and possible transport connections on the internet
and by apps on a real-time basis.
A great variety of operational procedures is applied on the Erzgebirgsbahn routes. This includes the
train announcing operation pursuant to the Ril408 regulation and the train control operation in accordance
with FV-NE as well as the train announcing operation in accordance with FV-NE. All routes are
equipped with a train protection system. Respective technical support is implemented on the routes
that are operated with train control.
The infrastructure installations of Erzgebirgsbahn are maintained by the Company‘s own specialized
staff. Maintenance services and approvals can be offered both with regard to the own infrastructure
and also to external customers.
