One of the most important industrial meetings, the MAK-
TEK Fair, was held in Turkey this year in Istanbul. The
last fair in 2014 was held in 15 halls with a surface area
of 122’000 sq m and 1’378 companies from 33 countries
participated. The fair attracted 65’722 visitors from 72
countries. This year’s fair report has not yet been published
but it seems that it will not fall behind 2014’s.
MAKTEK Eurasia 2016 opened the door to global opportunities
for the following sectors:

– Cutting Tools / Holders
– CAD / CAM, PLM Technologies
– Measurement and Quality Control Equipment
– Welding and Related Spare Parts

– Related Institutions and Universities
– Related Associations
– Financial Institutions, Professional Publications
The “visitor profile“ of the fair is generally from the following
industries:
Machinery, Moulding, Automotive, Electrical and Electronics,
Defense and Aerospace, Iron and Steel, Casting,
White Goods, Plastic Machinery, Agricultural Machinery,
Medical Equipment, Packaging Machinery, Food Machinery,
Construction Machinery, Naval Architecture.
With our Erde-Ermakina companies we were present at
the Maktek fair in a 120 sq m stand with our sections
grinding wheels and machines. One of the most special
parts of the Hall was the section in our booth where
we exhibited the PLATIT machine. The Pi311-Eco model
attracted great interest. P-series is the first machine to
have been installed in Turkey. We are sure that this will
have a positive impact on the market in future. We congratulate
the Platit company for seizing and providing
the continuity of high quality.
Industry 4.0 has been one of the hottest global topics of
the last five years. New generation machines shaping
the future of Industry 4.0 in the manufacturing field took
to the stage at MAKTEK 2016. The biggest convention
of its sector in Eurasia - organized with the cooperation
of the Machine Tools Industrialists and Businessmen’s
Association (TIAD) and the Association of Turkish Machine
Manufacturers (MTB) - hosted machinery giants in
Istanbul from October 11th -16th.
