The Trinitatskirche in square G4 has been vacant for eight
years, now it is filled with life again – and with music and
people that share a passion: dancing. Daria Holme and
Éric Trottier have given new meaning to the landmarked,
concrete building of the 50s that was built by architect
Helmut Striffler: The EinTanzHaus is the center of the
regional free dance scene who are offered a training opportunity
and the biggest stage in town with its 14x14 meters
there. The audience sits on a stand, knocked-together
from old pews, and experience diverse performances of
artists from the region and exciting guest performances.
The EinTanzHaus is yet another attractive venue for the
city of culture and “UNESCO City of Music” Mannheim –
in addition to established venues like the national theater
with more than 1,300 acts per year, Rosengarten and SAP
Arena, where international acts perform, and to smaller
stages like Capitol, Theater in G7, Oststadttheater or
Schatzkistl for cabaret and chanson performances.
