Veterinary inspection
Only stallions conforming to the requirements
of the working group “Inspection
standards for licensings” of the German
Equestrian Federation are admitted to the licensing.
Records of a clinical examination
can be presented for all stallions. In addition,
all stallions have been x-rayed (18 images:
Forlegs: lateral images of the toe 90°
and oxspring; Hindlegs: lateral images of
the the toe; 0°, 45° and 135° images hock;
90° and 180° images stifle joints).
Both the x-ray images and the finding reports
of our commission may be inspected.
We recommend every buyer to inspect the
veterinary documents and check the individually
relevant aspects together with their
veterinary surgeon. Our veterinarian commission
will provide you with the relevant information
during the event.
Medication Control
During the DSP-stallion days medication
control will take place as follows:
• Blood samples, which will allow to determine
the state of medication during the stallion
days, on a later day, will be taken from
every stallion
• Additionally 12 stallions will be drawn to
have extra medication controls
Is a stallion tested positive for a prohibited
substance previous to the licensing, the
licensing will be revoked and the owner of
the stallion will be charged. Positive samples
will be disclosed to the German federation
(FN), breeding department. Further information
