ProRail maintains and operates the railway of the Netherlands,
handling more than 1.1 million passengers per day
and more than 3.3 million trains per year. ProRail needed
to reduce overall maintenance costs and improve it’s

Solution Overview
• Utilizing our Enterprise mobility Platform, CGI
developed a solution for ProRail that won the 2014
SAP-Microsoft Innovation Award along with the 2014
SAP-Microsoft Customer Impact and Value Award.
• SAP CS as the back office solution
• SAP Netweaver gateway and SMP server as the
mobile platform, hosted in Microsoft’s Azure Cloud, to
help reduce overall TCO.
