DIE LAAITJIE nestles in the smallest of the Dassieshoek valleys in the Langeberg mountains. Despite being<br />
so completely remote, the farm is only 7 kilometres from the centre of Robertson. A long, scenic gravel<br />
road leads to this working farm that produces fruit and wine in the hand-crafted 'methode ancienne'<br />
manner. The farm is situated alone in a bowmade by the surrounding mountains and consists of peach, pear<br />
and apricot trees, all of which fill the valley with colourful blossoms during the spring. The main house<br />
is a Victorian building that has been extended several times. Built on the edge of a dam, the house is<br />
surrounded by mature oak trees, has lovely views and a flourishing rose garden. There are four en-suite<br />
double bedrooms and a fireplace inside the house. A braai on the stoep adjoins the fully fitted kitchen.<br />
The four separate self-catering cottages are decorated in an all-white serene manner. The two salt-water<br />
pools overlook the endless views of the mountains.
