INTRO
South Africa no doubt is one of the most spectacular destinations for tourists worldwide. This huge
country, with a land area which exceeds that of Spain and France combined, offers very special attractions.
The beauty of the landscape is just as spectacular as that of the animals which presents itself to the
travellers. The desert regions of the Kalahari and of the Great Karoo, which together extends to the size
of Germany, the lush green Drakensberg Mountains, which nearly rise to 4.000 meters, the wellknown
Garden Route, the Winelands and the Cape of Good Hope are all destinations making a journey
definitely worthwhile. No matter how long your journey may seem, we can promise, you will definitely not
regret on making your trip to the Cape. Furthermore, the intercontinental flight has become so much more
comfortable due to modern planes and direct services. Everyone associates the country at the Southern
tip of Africa with the incredibly large number of species. ‘Kruger Park’ is the most famous park in South
Africa for large animals living in the wild, but there are many more. And not forgetting the annually
recurring ‘whale procession’ from the Antarctic Ocean to the coast of the cape area. From June to
November, thousands of people travel to the South to watch Humpback and Southern right whales, which
come here to calve in the calm bays of the Cape. Cape Town is likely to be the destination for most of the
visitors travelling to the Cape for the first time. Apart from Sydney and San Francisco, Cape Town is
regarded as one of the most beautiful cities in the world, and nobody who has ever seen this cosmopolitan
metropolis at the southern tip of Africa would disagree. It’s colonial past reaches back to the
17th century, when the Portuguese and Dutch started populating the Cape. The wonderful estates in the
Cape-Dutch style, which can be seen all around of Cape Town, and the magnificent Victorian estates, which
still characterize the image of the city, are witnesses of the history full of transformations. As their
forefathers a great number of immigrants from Europe have settled at the most beautiful end of the world
to offer in their guesthouses, small hotels or lodges, south african hospitality combined with european
standards. The choice for tourists to stay overnight in a pleasant surrounding is nearly inexhaustible.
We are going to describe 25 different but exceptional accommodations nonetheless, in which you
can feel at home.
