Staying with friends
Ein Ort
zum
Wohlfühlen
The Arnika and its history
It was in the year 1954 that Gertrud Aloys laid the foundation
stone of the Arnika of today. She very knowingly chose
the name of the hotel in accord with the indigenous medicinal
plant „Arnika“ which, in common parlance, was also named
Mountain tobacco and confusingly Leopard‘s bane for
Arnica montana. In 1960, following completion of the hotel,
Gertrud was able to welcome the first guests to the Arnika.
Later, together with her son Herbert and his wife Rosemarie,
she steadily expanded the Arnika and, due to the cordiality
and informal atmosphere, hosted many dear guests, who also
became friends. Since then, her eldest grandson Bertram
and his wife Anna have taken over the business and grown
it further.
Today, a large part of the family work in the business and
team spirit is always a high priority. We also try to make our
guests feel, just as the name Arnika promises, the strength of
the mountains in order to find true relaxation.
The informal atmosphere at the Arnika Hotel, as well as the
cheerful Tyrolean hospitality will help you make time for
yourself and enjoy the moment.
