My work at DWHA – Weddings & Honeymoons Abroad Magazine
I started my internship at the DWHA-Weddings & Honeymoons
Abroad Magazine on Tuesday, the 6th of March 2018. On the
time, at a bridal-fair.
the whole magazine and told me about the employees and their
bridal magazines and comparing them with the DWHA. Furthermore,
I had to look what kind of advertising they institute and
how I think the DWHA magazine could also improve their advertising.
In the second week everybody who has been in Berlin, returned
and I got to know a lot more new people. I met my supervisor
Perry, editors, writers and also employees from the sales department.
My work for this week was searching the internet for
new products for the next issue of the magazine. I looked up a
lot of websites from designers, high-street stores and online
shops. The suitable products I put in an Excel database. Additionally,
I had to do some other, smaller tasks like setting up a
background for an Instagram post. One day I also was invited
to join an event, where a designer showed his new collection. I
think this was my personal highlight because it was really cool
to witness an event like this with my own eyes.
All in all, I can say I have learned a lot during my stay in London
and especially at this company! I think it widened my horizons
a lot! It was really interesting to see, how a magazine works,
what kind of people stand behind a bridal magazine, because no
there are not only women working, who dream the whole day
from their own perfect wedding, and how much time it really
takes. Also, I learned that social media is very important today
for advertising. I met so many new people and learned not to be
ashamed talking in English, the key is - just talk! Everything else
comes from alone after time.
It was an amazing experience and I would join a project like
Erasmus straightaway.
