process:The one thing I have learned from being involved in
abortion recovery ministry over the years is that the post-abortive
need permission to cry. Over the next few weeks, you will find that
you may cry many tears and could be afraid at the extent of your
grieving. Family members may not understand your pain and try to
encourage you to “get over it.” The fact is that you
cannot get over this pain –you must work through it. After I
had cried all the tears God had designed for me to shed over my
dear aborted child, Jesse, I began to feel joy again. The joy can only
come from walking through each step of pain. So please
don’t feel like you are “going crazy” when you
cry. This is God’s way of helping you heal. And the joy you
will find at the end of this healing journey will be unexpected and
incredible. Have faith that others have walked this road ahead of
you and will attest that the pain does not go on forever. May God
