<strong>Trends</strong> <strong>2012</strong>/<strong>13</strong><br />
How will the world around us be changing? How will consumers want to live<br />
tomorrow? Which furnishings trends will be leading the way in <strong>2012</strong>/<strong>13</strong>?<br />
Every year, questions like these occupy the <strong>Schattdecor</strong> design team anew as it<br />
sets about determining themes in its unique trend concept to provide orientation<br />
for product developers, furnishers and interior designers. Visits to fairs as well as<br />
in-house design workshops, research and analysis all play a role in this process.<br />
Yet naming new and disparate trends each year no longer fits the times. <strong>Trends</strong><br />
take time to evolve and establish themselves on the one hand, while furnishing<br />
styles remain a question of personal taste on the other, making them less<br />
amenable to short-lived vogues.<br />
The <strong>Schattdecor</strong> trend book for the <strong>2012</strong>/<strong>13</strong> season is thus concerned with both<br />
enduring aspects and new developments in last year‘s themes with their focus on<br />
the values of former times.<br />
