Zur Veranstaltung<br />
Im vergangenen Jahr präsentierten sich am Institut für Kraftfahrzeuge (<strong>ika</strong>)<br />
der <strong>RWTH</strong> <strong>Aachen</strong> <strong>University</strong> erstmals die <strong>Aachen</strong>er Karosserietage in<br />
einem frischen Format. Über 180 Teilnehmer nutzten bei internationaler<br />
Beteiligung die Gelegenheit zum Austausch über strategische und aktuelle<br />
technische Fragen des Karosseriebaus.<br />
Die <strong>Aachen</strong>er Karosserietage <strong>2009</strong> möchten an den Erfolg des Vorjahres<br />
anknüpfen. Die Veranstaltung kombiniert an zwei Tagen Plenarvorträge,<br />
die Einblicke in Strategien und Visionen im Karosseriebau geben,<br />
Präsentationen aktueller Fahrzeugkarosserien und verschiedene<br />
Fachsessionen.<br />
Dabei wird zentralen Fragestellungen des Automobilbaus nachgegangen.<br />
Ressourcenschonung und Emissionsreduzierung sind derzeit die<br />
bestimmenden Themen bei der Fahrzeugentwicklung. Die Themen<br />
Karosserieleichtbau, intelligenter Werkstoffeinsatz und innovative<br />
Strukturkonzepte sind daher aktueller denn je. Um hier neue Einblicke zu<br />
erhalten, haben wir einen kompetenten Referentenkreis gewinnen können<br />
und freuen uns auf informative Beiträge sowie auf angeregte Diskussionen.<br />
Durch die zweisprachige Ausrichtung ermöglicht die Tagung einen<br />
Austausch mit internationalen Referenten und Konferenzteilnehmern.<br />
Ergänzend ist eine umfangreiche Fachausstellung vorgesehen, in der<br />
aktuelle Fahrzeuge und Karosserien präsentiert werden.<br />
Wir würden uns freuen, Sie bei den <strong>Aachen</strong>er Karosserietagen <strong>2009</strong><br />

About the conference<br />
Last year the Institute of Automotive Engineering (<strong>ika</strong>) of the <strong>RWTH</strong> <strong>Aachen</strong><br />
<strong>University</strong> introduced the <strong>Aachen</strong> Body Engineering Days in a modern<br />
format. More than 180 participants took the opportunity to interchange both<br />
about strategic and technical issues in body engineering.<br />
The <strong>Aachen</strong> Body Engineering Days <strong>2009</strong> will continue the success of last<br />
year's event. The concept of the 2-days-conference includes key-notepresentations<br />
offering an outlook on strategies and visions, the<br />
presentations of latest vehicle bodies and technical sessions about<br />
innovative solutions in body engineering.<br />
Key questions will be followed up. Resource conservation and emission<br />
reduction are the dominating tasks for the automotive development process<br />
today. Issues such as lightweight design, the intelligent application of<br />
materials and innovative structural concepts are more up-to-date than ever.<br />
We have invited competent speakers and are looking forward to informative<br />
presentations and inspiring discussions.<br />
The bilingual concept of the conference will foster an intensive exchange of<br />
experience with international speakers and guests. In addition to the body<br />
presentations, a technical exhibition will be organised, in which current<br />
vehicle bodies will be on display.<br />
