Anwendung
Erstmals erschließt eine Deckeneinbauleuchte
mit LED-Technologie das weite Feld der
Allgemeinbeleuchtung. Bei einem Wirkungsgrad
von 93% und einer Lichtleistung von
3.000 oder 2.000 lm (LED-Modul) realisiert
das neue Downlight DL 170 un.limited
Beleuchtungslösungen, für die üblicherweise
Leuchten mit 2x32W Kompaktleuchtstofflampen
benötigt werden. Mit ihren vorteilhaften
Abmessungen beansprucht die Leuchte
aber nur soviel Raum wie eine typische 13W
Einbauleuchte.
DL 170 un.limited kommt überall dort zum
Einsatz, wo eine langlebige homogene Beleuchtung
bei großer Energieeffizienz gefragt
ist. In Büro- und Verwaltungsbereichen,
in Konferenzräumen, Eingangs- und Empfangszonen
sowie Räumen für Verkauf und
Präsentation. Auch in öffentlichen Gebäuden
wie Schulen, Kindergärten, Theatern und
Kinos, in Hotels und Restaurants kann DL 170
un.limited seine Vorteile ausspielen.
Mit einem UGR-Wert ≤ 19 erfüllt das LED
Downlight hohe Anforderungen an die
Blendungsbegrenzung und eignet sich somit
INSIDER CLASSIC

hervorragend für die Allgemeinbeleuchtung
von Office-Umgebungen.
Für Räume mit geringerem Lichtbedarf sind
Leuchten mit einem 1.100 lm starken LED-
Modul verfügbar.
Die gesamte Familie der Downlights DL 170

Für eine durchgängige Gestaltung bei
unterschiedlichsten Anforderungen stehen

Herausragend im Design
Alle Leuchten der Serie DL 170 und DL 250
zeichnen sich dadurch aus, dass die Reflektorkanten
aus der Decke herausragen, so dass
die Lichttechnik zugleich zum Gestaltungsmerkmal
wird. Die umlaufende Schattenfuge
unterstützt das puristische Design.
Der Eindruck einer frei schwebenden Leuchte
wird möglich durch eine Variante ohne sichtbaren
Abschlußring. Diese INSIDER Leuchten
werden mittels speziellem Deckeneinbauring
oder vorgefertigter Gipskartonelemente in die
Decke eingeputzt.

The DL 170 un.limited can be used wherever
long-life homogeneous lighting is needed in
combination with high energy efficiency: in
office and administrative areas, conference
rooms, entry and receiving zones as well as
rooms for sales and presentations. The DL 170
un.limited can also display its advantages in
public buildings such as schools, kindergartens,
theatres and cinemas, and in hotels and
restaurants.
With a UGR value ≤ 19, the LED downlight
fulfils the stringent requirements for reducing
glare and is therefore ideal for general
lighting of office environments. For rooms
requiring less light, the downlight is available
with a 1,100 lm LED module.
The entire family of DL 170 and DL 250 downlights
offers an impressive range of variability.
For complete design implementation with
varying requirements, diverse downlights are
available with technical and optical design
variants – such as wall washers, swivelmounted
lights and models with louvres or
decorative glass elements.
An outstanding design
With the DL 170 and DL 250 series of luminaires
the lighting technology becomes
a part of the visual effect as the reflector
edges protrude from the ceiling. The purist
design is complemented by a surrounding
shadow gap.
The INSIDER version creates the impression
of a freely suspended luminaire through the
absence of a ceiling trim. For these INSIDER
models special prefabricated plasterboard
panels with embedded installation ring are
available.

Energieeffizienz

DL 170 un.limited herkömmliche Downlights
mit 2xTC-D 32W problemlos und energieeffizienter
ersetzen.
Jede der im Modul verwendeten LEDs hat
eine Leistung von 110 lm/W und gehört damit
zu den effizientesten derzeit verfügbaren
Leuchtmitteln dieses Typs. Bei einer mittleren
Lebensdauer von 50.000 Stunden - knapp 19

Energy efficiency
The light output ratio of 93% is the result
of intelligent lighting development and
the simply brilliant flow.tec thermal
management. Thanks to its 3,000 lm LED
module, the DL 170 un.limited can easily
replace conventional downlights with 2xTC-D
32W, with improved energy efficiency.
Each of the LEDs in the module has a power
of 110 lm/W, which is the most efficient
light of this type currently available. With an
average life cycle of 50,000 hours – or almost
19 years* – the LED module is practically
maintenance-free. The high efficiency of the
system makes a significant contribution to
reducing CO2 emissions.

flow.tec - passives Thermomanagement
Erstmals kommt das revolutionäre und von
Hoffmeister rechtlich geschützte flow.tec
Thermomanagement zur Kühlung einer
LED-Leuchte zum Einsatz. Ohne aktive,
bewegte Elemente, ohne zusätzlichen
Energieaufwand und ohne Verschleiß erreicht
das flow-tec System bei DL 170 un.limited eine
maximierte Wärmeableitung von der LED-
Oberfläche. Dort sind niedrige Temperaturen
Grundvoraussetzung für einen schonenden
Betrieb, der zu einer maximierten Lichtleistung
und langen Lebensdauer führt. Der Verzicht
auf massive Kühlelemente resultiert in einem
geringen Eigengewicht der Leuchte.
flow.tec – passive thermal management
For the first time, the revolutionary flow.tec
thermal management is used for cooling an
LED downlight. Without active, moving
elements, without additional energy
consumption and without wear, the flow.tec
system maximizes heat dissipation away from
the LED surface in the DL 170 un.limited. Low
temperatures are a prerequisite for
low-impact operation of these luminaires, to
ensure maximum luminous power and a long
life cycle. The elimination of massive cooling
elements reduces the inherent weight of the
light.
Heatpipes bewirken die unmittelbare Weiterleitung
der entstehenden Wärme in die seitlichen
Kühlelemente.
Heatpipes directly dissipate the generated heat
into the cooling elements on the side.

Lichtqualität
Mit neuester LED Technologie erzeugt DL170
un.limited eine sehr atmosphärische homogene
Allgemeinbeleuchtung.
Von der ersten Inbetriebnahme bis zum
Ende ihrer Lebensdauer weisen die LEDs eine
ausgezeichnete Farbkonstanz und Farbwiedergabe
(CRI >80) auf. Da das LED-spezifische
Lichtspektrum weder UV- noch IR-Anteile
enthält, kann DL 170 un.limited selbst zur
Beleuchtung wärmeempfindlicher oder UVempfindlicher
Exponate verwendet werden.
Bei Inbetriebnahme stehen sofort 100% des
Lichtstroms zur Verfügung, da es keine, wie
bei anderen Leuchtmitteln systembedingte,
Anlaufphase gibt. Für unterschiedliche
Einsatzbereiche bieten zwei Lichtfarben die
Flexibilität, zwischen warmweißen 3.000 K und
neutralweißen 4.000 K zu wählen.

un.limited Leuchten für den Einsatz in
Office-Umgebungen.
normgerechte Einbaubedingungen
Für DL170 un.limited gelten die von der
Norm DIN EN 60598 vorgegebenen Standard-
Einbaubedingungen. Hoffmeister positioniert
sich damit deutlich gegen den aktuellen
Markttrend, den Deckeneinbauraum für LED
Downlights größer zu dimensionieren, als die
Norm vorschreibt.

Light quality
With state-of-the-art LED technology, the DL
170 un.limited creates an atmosphere of very
homogenous general lighting.
From the first time they are switched on
through to the end of their life cycle, the
LEDs exhibit excellent colour consistency and
colour rendering (CRI >80). Since the LEDspecific
light spectrum contains no UV or IR
radiation, the DL 170 un.limited can even be
used for lighting heat-sensitive or UV-sensitive
exhibits.
When switched on, 100% of the luminous
flux is immediately available, since there is no
warm-up phase as with other lighting systems.
Two colour temperatures provide flexibility
for different areas of use: warm white 3,000 K
and neutral white 4,000 K.
A UGR value ≤ 19 qualifies the DL 170
un.limited downlights for use in office
environments.
Standard installation conditions
The standard installation conditions specified
in DIN EN 60598 apply to the DL 170
un.limited. Hoffmeister’s market position
therefore clearly opposes the market trend,
which requires larger than standard dimensions
for the ceiling installation space for LED
downlights.

INSIDER Technologie
Alle DL170 Deckeneinbauleuchten sind auch
in einer INSIDER Ausführung ohne sichtbaren
Abschlußring verfügbar.
Die INSIDER Leuchten bewirken ein besonders
ruhiges Deckenbild. Eine Schattenfuge trennt
die Leuchte von der Decke und unterstützt das
puristische Design. Sie bildet den perfekten
Anschluß an die Deckenfläche.
Mittels speziellem Deckeneinbauring oder
vorgefertigter Gipskartonelemente werden die
INSIDER Leuchten in die Decke eingeputzt.

INSIDER technology
All DL170 ceiling-recessed luminaires are also
available in an INSIDER design without visible
ceiling trim.
The INSIDER luminaires create a particularly uncluttered
ceiling look. A shadow gap separates
the luminaire from the ceiling, supporting the
pristine design and forming the perfect connection
to the ceiling surface.
INSIDER luminaires are mounted to the ceiling
using a special ceiling mounting ring or prefabricated
plasterboard elements.
