Diagnostik der Osteomyelitis bei DFS

• Soft-tissue infections: the first two phases
demonstrate increased uptake; third phase
• Osteomyelitis: all three phases demonstrate
increased uptake, uptake in the third phase more
focal.
• Neuropathic arthropathy increased uptake can also
be present in all three phases: high sensitivity but
low specificity
• False negative exams by ischemia
• (the radiotracer must be able to reach the foot to
accumulate in the focus of osteomyelitis)
