Charlotte Renna reports her daughter and
roomie has moved into her own dream house.
She moved in 6 months after Joe passed away
and has been there for almost 3 years now.
Charlotte says she will miss Kathy and her two
grand pups and Sally the big fat cat (which we
never saw) and it was a good time for both of
them; now it’s now time for both of them to
grow up and be on their own. We wish Kathy
much happiness in her new home.
Chuck and Linda are proud Grandparents. Their
granddaughter Megan got married last month to
her Marine boyfriend and granddaughter
Amanda’s basketball team took championship
in their league and now they’ll being playing in
Division Playoffs. Good Luck to both of the
girls.
Chuck and Linda have also been doing a little
remodeling. They had wood flooring installed in
their entry and in the kitchen and it looks great.
Freida and Herbert are also finishing up some
remodeling; they did their master bathroom last
year and have had the guest bathroom
remodeled and now their updating their kitchen.
They have had new appliances installed, granite
countertops and the new flooring in the kitchen
floor is almost done; can’t wait to see it.
I sent Mary Ann Whitson a note asking if their
bathroom remodeling was finally done and she
said yes and it only took 17 weeks and 1 day!!
They were told it would take about 40 days to
complete and granted there were holidays
involved; Thanksgiving, Christmas and New
Year’s but they didn’t realize that meant 40
working days! They had planned to have the
other bathroom done but now think they are
going to wait for a while …. maybe forever. But
when they do have it redone they will use a
different contractor and will find out how many
real days it really should take.
If anyone is going to be in the Palm Springs area
before June be sure to check out the giant statue
of Marilyn Monroe in her iconic pose in the
white dress. Pat Garrahan had the opportunity to
see it when she was in Palm Springs for
Patrick’s cousin’s memorial service last month.
Don & Sylvia Johnson have sold their home in
Kingsburg, packed up everything and spent their
last evening in this area with us at the General
Meeting. By the time you read this they will be
back in Sequim, Washington. I’m sure you join
me in wishing them happiness and good luck.
We’ll miss you.
