Presented by <strong>Cobaw</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>Health</strong><br />

A FREE community BBQ will launch both the festival and World <strong>Mental</strong> <strong>Health</strong> Day.<br />

<strong>Cobaw</strong> <strong>Community</strong> <strong>Health</strong> staff members will be on hand to answer questions<br />

about our service, offer give-aways and of course hand out sausages. Come down,<br />

grab some lunch and have a chat about all things <strong>Cobaw</strong>.<br />

YOGA CLASS<br />

Kyneton Toyota Sports & Aquatic Centre<br />

Presented by Kate – Yoga Instructor, Kyneton Toyota Sports & Aquatic<br />

Try out a free yoga class at the Kyneton Toyota Sports & Aquatic Centre where you<br />

can stretch your body and learn some gentle exercises you can build into your every<br />

day. Exercise has been shown to be beneficial for all sorts of ailments, including to<br />

support alleviate symptoms associated with anxiety, depression and other mental<br />

illnesses. Come down and get to know the folks at your local gym.<br />

LIVING IN A MODERN FAMILY<br />

Modern day families no longer fit into one neat little box, with some families being<br />

made up of an array of people including step mums, step dads, two mums, two dads,<br />

step siblings and grandparents. Come and learn about some of the positives as well<br />

as some of the challenges that modern families face and ways to start to work with<br />

and through them.<br />

Rangers Shire<br />

Youth <strong>Mental</strong> <strong>Health</strong> First Aid<br />

(YMHFA) is designed to teach<br />

parents, family members, caregivers,<br />

teachers, school staff, peers,<br />

neighbours, health and human<br />

services workers, and other caring<br />

citizens how to help an adolescent<br />

(age 12-18) who is experiencing a<br />

mental health or addiction challenge<br />

or is in crisis.<br />

Youth <strong>Mental</strong> <strong>Health</strong> First Aid<br />

is primarily designed for adults<br />

who regularly interact with young<br />

people. This free community<br />

training is being provided by the<br />

Live4Life staff from Macedon<br />

Ranges Shire Council and provides<br />

a YMHFA accreditation.<br />

Please note: All sessions must be attended to achieve certificate of accreditation.
