The Kentucky Travel Industry Association
has selection October Court Days as part of
their 2011 Fall Top 10 Festivals and Events.
Held in Mt. Sterling, October 14-17, October
Court Days is Kentucky’s oldest running
festival that is held every third Monday and the
weekend prior, throughout Mt. Sterling. Court
Days began at the turn of the 19th Century
when the Kentucky General Assembly decided
that each county should meet once a month to
hold court. This day became an annual trading
day where people came from miles around
to buy, sell and trade. Now visitors enjoy live
bluegrass music, food, antiques, tools, collectibles,
and more. Voted Best Annual Festival for
2011 by Kentucky Living. For more information
