She wrote her dissertation on “Preventative Measures to

National Dairy Products in Mongolia.” She has also served as
a food quality and safety inspector, director of the state
inspectorate of food production and tourism, and national
coordinator for the "Improving Nutrition for Poor Mothers
and Children in Central Asia" project from 2002 to 2005.

in Economics from Acadia University. She wrote her

Ms. Rwiyereka, a scholarship recipient from the Rwanda
Ministry of Health, received a diploma in General Medicine.
Her latest development work was with the Ministry of Health
in Rwanda, where she served as a health coordinator for the
UN Millennium Villages Project in Bugesera, a very poor
and rural area. She also worked as a project manager for the
Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Sports.

Mr. Sah comes to the M.S. program from the World Health
Organization, specifically the Program for Immunization and
Preventable Diseases in Lahan, Nepal. He held the position of
surveillance medical officer, and coordinated training and
technical assistance to promote polio eradication activities.
Binod also worked on the collection of data for other diseases,
such as measles and rubella. He holds Bachelor’s degree in
Medicine and Surgery.

her M.A. degree in 2006. Maniola interned with the
Department of Gender and HIV/AIDS at UNDP/Rwanda and

Development Agency, and CARE International in
Albania. She also volunteered for a variety of community and
health initiatives involved in family planning and services for
the disabled. Maniola also holds a Bachelor degree in

Health and Welfare, Inc. based in Cambridge, MA. She has

international NGOs operating in Georgia, Russia, Nicaragua,
Colombia, Nepal, and Uganda. She has extensive travel and
international development experience with a focus
on preventive health and dental services, and education for
orphaned and street children in institutionalized settings.

recently worked as a program manager for the Talenta Foundation,
an NGO concerned with the issues facing people with disabilities.
Risnawati specialized in the education and promotion of sexuality
and reproductive rights for people with disabilities. During that
time she also volunteered with the United Nations-Economic Social
Commission promoting a barrier-free environment for people
with disabilities. Ms. Utami holds a degree in Law.
