Singapore Airlines has selected
Hamilton Sundstrand's accessory
repair and exchange program to
provide asset management and
maintenance support for its fleet of
Airbus A380 aircraft. The 10-year
exclusive agreement for air
management and emergency power
components is Hamilton
Sundstrand's first C.A.R.E program
for the Airbus A380. Hamilton
Sundstrand's C.A.R.E. program
offers total repair and inventory
support services for engine
accessories and airframe
components. The business currently
manages equipment installed on
more than 600 aircraft and 1,000
engines. The program is in existence
since 1998.
MTU teams up with Garuda
MTU Maintenance has signed a joint
operation agreement with the
Indonesian maintenance, repair and
overhaul provider Garuda
Maintenance Facilities AeroAsia. As
a strategic partner, MTU
Maintenance will take care of
CFM56-3 engine MRO activities for
the Indonesian market jointly with
GMF AeroAsia. Besides the engines
of the 37-aircraft B737 Classic fleet
of Garuda Indonesia, also engines of
Fleet Transition?

100% owner of GMF AeroAsia. The
contract is for a term of three years
with an extension option of two
years. Its contract value is around
$200 million.
AFI becomes user of Mxi software
Mxi Technologies said that Air
France Industries has selected the
Maintenix maintenance management
software for implementation in
support of the A380. The Maintenix
system will provide Engineering,
Line, and Heavy Maintenance
capabilities. This system allows the
sharing of near real time data
between organizations.
ExelTech builds new hangar
ExelTech has launched the
development of a new C$21 million
heavy maintenance hangar facility at
Montreal's Pierre Elliot Trudeau
International Airport. The new facility,
to be completed in the spring of
2008, will result in a 30% increase in
capacity compared to the two
smaller, older hangars the Company
currently operates in Montreal.

Hamburg International uses LHT
Lufthansa Technik has been
selected to provide support services
to Hamburg International’s fleet of
Airbus A319’s. In a new, 10-year
contract, the two partners are
continuing a relationship that has
been in existence since 1999.
Lufthansa Technik will supply the
ten-aircraft fleet with components
under a Total Component Support
contract and maintain all the CFM56-
5B5 engines through a Total Engine
Support contract. The deal is worth
around 50 million Euros.
More than 380 Airbus patents
During the A380 development phase,
Airbus filed more than 380 patent
applications for technologies
developed for the double-decker.
