The Fit Zone’s women’s 

locker room is complete! 

WOMEN please stop by the Fit Zone at your earliest convenience to relcaim 

your locker key! 

The external-temporary shower and changing trailer will be open and 

operational for MEN starting at 0500. The trailor is located between the 

Fit Zone and Capo Landing. This will remain a viable option for men to shower 

and change during Phase 2 of the Fit Zone renovation while the men’s locker 

room is secured. 

The Fit Zone lobby is secured for renovation.

Youth Sports 

MWR offers seasonal Youth Sports leagues in soccer, basketball, softball, baseball, 

T-ball, flag football and more! Any kid, who wants to play, can play. 

Youth Sports success depends largely on volunteers and teachers from the 

community. If you can coach, please contact the Youth Activities Director or Training 

and Curriculum Specialist. We would love to have you as part of the MWR team. 

Registration is just $30 per child. A valid passport or birth certificate must be 

presented at the time of registration. To speed up the process, simply download the 

CYP Child Registration Form. Print the form and fill it out ahead of time, then either 

fax, digitally send or bring it with you, along with the birth certificate or passport, 

when registering your child for a Youth Sports Program. Payment must be made when 

registering, & can be made over the phone with a credit card.

Swim to Salerno 

31 May - 6 Sep at the Fit Zone pool. Journey from 

Naples to Salerno via the imaginary coastline in any of 

the NSA Pools! Swim laps anytime during regular pool 

hours and then record your workout on your log sheet. 

All participants who complete the 50-kilometer swim 

(100 laps/2000 lenghts) will recieive a prize. Great prize 

packages for 1st - 5th place finishers. This event is FREE 

and open to authorized MWR patrons.

UPCOMING TRIPS! 

Mon, 31 May - Spend Memorial Day on a beautiful trek to Monte Nuovo, “New Mountain” and Lago D’Averno. With so many wonderful sites 

to see, you won’t want to miss this hike. From the top of the rim, you can peer down into the mouth of the inactive volcano and also take in 

panoramic views overlooking the surrounding area. We will take a very relaxing walk around Lago D’Averno, made famous in Dante’s Inferno. 

There are ancient ruins of Tempio di Apollo (Temple of Apollo) and wonderful wildlife to see. To finish off the afternoon we will make a visit to the 

winery, situated along the banks of the lake, to taste the wines. The wine can be purchased for Euro 2.50 per bottle

Itri Castle & Olive Sampling

A fantastic trip to the medieval town of Itri begins

The Naples Youth club is a program that is run 

by dedicated volunteers and the Protestant 

chaplains of NSA Naples. Our Middle School 

program is for students in the 7th and 8th 

grades and meets from 1500-1600. Our 

High School program, grades 9-12, meets 

from 1730-1915 and includes a meal. Both 

of these programs meet on Wednesday in 

the Support Site Chapel Fellowship Hall. ALL

Camp Adventure exposes children to a variety 

of challenging and exciting activities that will build up 

their appreciation for personal achievements and team

О Eligibility 

Open to children ages 6 to 12. Children must have completed kindergarten 

(documentation must be provided if a child is not enrolled at the Naples Elementary School). 

Participant must be a dependent child of Active Duty Military Personnel, DOD Civilian personnel, 

and Reservists (on active duty, on orders, or in training). It is also open to the NATO community 

personnel possessing an MWR privilege card for their child. 

О Fee and documents needed to register include 

· Registration fee (based on total family income). A $15 non-refundable fee is charged upon 

registration for each week 

of camp. This fee will then be credited to your weekly camp fee. 

· Current photo of child (photo will not be returned); 

· Sponsor’s ID for veri� cation; 

· Copy of child’s ID, passport, or birth certi� cate (for age veri� cation); 

· At least two local and one CONUS Emergency Contact (phone number and address); 

· Copy of current LES (for all persons contributing to total family income); 

· Copy of Family Care Plan (mandatory for single/dual active duty per 

NAVSUPPACT Naples Instruction 1740.1B)**; 

· For NATO community, it is required to verify the child’s MWR privilege card. 

* No Registration will be accepted without ALL necessary documentation 

** A letter of initiation from the command is required while awaiting the Commanding Of� cer’s 

signature on the Family Care Plan. Plan must be completed within 60 days of the start of care, 

or care will be denied.

Camp Adventure will run for 9 weeks beginning 21 June and ending 20 August at Carney Park. 

The MWR School Age Care staff will provide care for the last week of summer (Week 10 of Camp), 23 - 27 August. 

Due to staf� ng limitations, this last week will be open only primarily to Priority 1 and Priority 2 customers and registration will run until 9 August. 

Children currently enrolled in the SAC and the CDC program, single and dual active duty parents will be allowed to register their children for 

Week 10 of Camp. Registration for Week 10: will open 10 August for Priority 3 customers; 16 August for Priority 4 customers; 18 August for 

Priority 5 customers; and 20 August for Priority 6 customers.
