The development of our company<br />

since its establishment in 1911<br />

2008 As a result of the financial crisis and the ensuing global<br />

economic recession, the <strong>Vollmann</strong> Group is consistently<br />

implementing a consolidation programme. As a part of this<br />

measure the locations in Hohenlockstedt and Seebach were sold<br />

while the activities at the factory in Scheibenberg were<br />

expanded.<br />

2007 Sale of the Lighting Technology Business Division to Vossloh-<br />

Schwabe Deutschland <strong>GmbH</strong> within the framework of a<br />

consistent strategic realignment strategy.<br />

2006 Founding of N.I.E.R. Stanz- und Umformtechnik <strong>GmbH</strong> & <strong>Co</strong>.<br />

<strong>KG</strong>. Manufacturer (tier 1 / tier 2 automotive parts supplier) of<br />

precision stamped and drawn parts with production sites in<br />

Remscheid and Hohenlockstedt.<br />

2005 Takeover of MULTICON <strong>GmbH</strong> in Seebach near Eisenach -<br />

plastic components for the car industry.<br />

2002 Extension of injection moulding activities for the<br />

telecommunications industry<br />

2000 Takeover of Ernst Jörgens Plastik- und Gummiwarenfabrik<br />

<strong>GmbH</strong> in Wermelskirchen - plastic components for the<br />

automotive supply industry. Division integrated into the<br />

Gevelsberg production plant.<br />

1998 Establishment of <strong>Vollmann</strong>-Service, at Welzow/ Brandenburg.<br />

Assembly of components and other logistics services for the<br />

lighting and car industry.<br />

1997 Establishment of the <strong>Vollmann</strong> Sondermaschinenbau division.<br />

Special purpose machine construction. Automation technology<br />

for the car and electrical industry.<br />

1996 Extension of the production range through the acquisition of the<br />

Minner company in Sundern (at that time market leader in<br />

forming technology for lighting) and also through the<br />

establishment of the surface technology division.<br />

1995 <strong>Vollmann</strong> Umformtechnik is established in Scheibenberg/Saxony<br />

with the takeover of the workshops of Nier Umformtechnik<br />

located there. Stamping and (transfer press) deep drawing<br />

technology for manufacturing components for the car and<br />

lighting industry.<br />

1993 Investment in the ALUX company (today Alux-Luxar<br />

Reflektoren), Korschenbroich, North Rhine-Westphalia.<br />

Manufacturer of aluminium reflectors.<br />

1990 A logistics centre is set up at the Gevelsberg site in response to<br />

unprecedented growth created by new, cutting-edge<br />

developments in the field of components for spot lights and low<br />

voltage systems.<br />

1986 Dipl.-Kfm. Axel <strong>Vollmann</strong> becomes the 3rd generation of the<br />

family to join the company.<br />

1980 The product range is extended with the introduction of<br />

thermoplastics.<br />

1962 Introduction of Edison lampholders made from duroplastic.<br />

1945 Following the war, <strong>Otto</strong> <strong>Vollmann</strong> (2nd generation) rebuilds the<br />

company with 5 employees at the Gevelsberg site<br />

1938 Following the departure of Adolf <strong>Vollmann</strong>, the company is<br />

renamed "<strong>Otto</strong> <strong>Vollmann</strong>". Specializing in the electrical field.<br />

1911 The "Gebrüder <strong>Vollmann</strong>" company is established by <strong>Otto</strong> and<br />

Adolf <strong>Vollmann</strong> in Gevelsberg, manufacturing metal goods and<br />

Edison lampholders.<br />
