Gwilym Hughes’ sometimes haunting style reflects his
current preoccupation with the various trials and
tribulations that beset everyone, and how we chose to
deal with adversity as well as joy. His work illustrates
his belief that life is a complex arrangement of
individual snapshots of moments remembered, and
then amalgamated into one bigger picture.
