Alicia Neal serves as assistant director <strong>of</strong><br />
bands and assistant director <strong>of</strong> athletic<br />
bands at the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Minnesota.<br />
Dr. Neal holds degrees in conducting<br />
from the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Colorado and<br />
Northwestern <strong>University</strong>. In addition to<br />
teaching in the public schools, her previous<br />
experience includes serving as director<br />
<strong>of</strong> bands at St. Xavier <strong>University</strong>.<br />
Craig Kirchh<strong>of</strong>f is pr<strong>of</strong>essor <strong>of</strong> conducting<br />
and director <strong>of</strong> <strong>University</strong> <strong>Band</strong>s at<br />
the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Minnesota where he<br />
conducts the <strong>University</strong> Wind Ensemble<br />
and guest conducts in the <strong>University</strong><br />
Opera Program. Pr<strong>of</strong>essor Kirchh<strong>of</strong>f coordinates<br />
the graduate program in Wind<br />
Ensemble/<strong>Band</strong> Conducting and guides<br />
all aspects <strong>of</strong> the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Minnesota<br />
wind band program.<br />
Jerry Luckhardt, associate pr<strong>of</strong>essor<br />
<strong>of</strong> music at the <strong>School</strong> <strong>of</strong> Music, conducts<br />
the Symphonic <strong>Band</strong> and Chamber<br />
Winds, and he teaches courses in conducting.<br />
Luckhardt has appeared as a<br />
guest conductor and clinician with ensembles<br />
throughout the U.S., Europe,<br />
and Asia.<br />
Laura Sindberg is assistant pr<strong>of</strong>essor at<br />
the <strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Minnesota where she<br />
teaches courses in music education. Prior<br />
to her appointment here, Dr. Sindberg<br />
was on the faculty at Lawrence <strong>University</strong><br />
and DePaul <strong>University</strong>. In 2009/2010,<br />
Sindberg launched the Young <strong>Band</strong><br />
Project <strong>of</strong> Lawrence Academy—an after-school<br />
instrumental music program<br />
serving fifth grade students. She received<br />
a B.F.A. and a M.M. from the <strong>University</strong><br />
<strong>of</strong> Wisconsin-Milwaukee and a Ph.D.<br />
from Northwestern <strong>University</strong>.<br />
