VideoScout-MXR allows dismounted, forward personnel
to capture, view, annotate, geo-reference and disseminate
relevant, actionable video and images to others across the
battle space. Its small form factor provides mobile personnel
with a convenient exploitation system that allows users
to do more than simply view incoming video, offering
flexibility, extreme portability and interoperability with other
applications. VideoScout-MXR provides users a compact
ergonomically proven tablet with touch screen capability and
additional modular options such as SAASM GPS. VideoScout-
MXR, packaged with the VideoScout-Insyte PED management
software, provides field personnel with full Processing,
Exploitation and Dissemination (PED) management capabilities
necessary to effectively utilize video and metadata, creating an
operational advantage while remaining on the move. Among
the critical features provided with VideoScout-MXR is the
ability to:
• Capture, Display and Record live video with full
DVR features
• Extract subset video that is actionable
• Create JPEG and NITF files with metadata for reference
and dissemination
• Archive video, snapshots and files for easy search and
VideoScout ® -MXR is a hand-held, micro video exploitation and management system. It features a fully integrated multi
band receiver capable of capturing and leveraging real-time full-motion video and metadata directly from L, S or C band-
based Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) sensors, including Manned and Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS).
retrieval as needed
• Display geo-location data with FalconView® or Google
Earth® maps.
• Easily connects to intelligence networks
Video and metadata can be paused, zoomed, annotated and
recorded in real-time. Corresponding lat/long, date/time and
annotations are also displayed, providing convenient geo-
referenced video and map information (plot the UAS on the
map, and show sensor field of view) in a single screen format.
VideoScout-Insyte PED management software enables users
to capture multiple simultaneous video feeds. It supports data
archiving, along with immediate search, retrieval, exploitation
and dissemination of captured video and/or associated imagery.
VideoScout-Insyte also facilitates easy integration into existing
C4ISR systems and intelligence networks. This ability to easily
exploit, manage, and disseminate data from multiple sources
facilitates pre-mission planning, mission execution, and post
mission analysis. After a mission, warfighters can re-connect
VideoScout-MXR back to the network in the operations center
and easily create after action-reports, disseminate video, or
perform any computer related tasks.
VideoScout is a fully interoperable system, running in a
Windows 7® environment and making other applications such
as email, Word®, PowerPoint®, mission planning, targeting, chat
and internet communications operable on the same system.
