Dr Monika Pradhan - Medical Retina and<br />
Uveitis Specialist<br />
Dr Monika Pradhan completed her training<br />
in medicine and postgraduate studies<br />
in ophthalmology with the University of<br />
Mumbai and the prestigious King Edward<br />
VII Memorial Hospital, Mumbai. After moving<br />
to the UK, she underwent further training in<br />
ophthalmology. Subsequently, she relocated<br />
to Auckland and undertook subspecialist<br />
fellowship training in ocular genetics, medical<br />
retina and uveitis. She is a Consultant<br />
Ophthalmologist at the Manukau Superclinic<br />
and Senior Clinical Lecturer at the University<br />
of Auckland, through which she maintains<br />
her research interests in addition to her<br />
clinical work. As well as being experienced in<br />
cataract surgery, Monika’s areas of expertise<br />
are medical retinal disorders, particularly<br />
macular degeneration and diabetic<br />
retinopathy, genetics of inherited retinal<br />
disorders and uveitic eye diseases.<br />
