ENTRANCE TO BADAMI CAVES
Day 09 Bijapur - Badami ( 150 Kms / 5 Hrs )
After breakfast, drive to Badami to explore the Badami Caves. The
Cave Temples here are brilliant example of Indian rock-cut
architecture. Carved out
of soft sandstone in the
late 6th century, the caves
represent different
religious sects. You will
also visit the Aihole
temple complex before
heading to Pattadakal,
famous for its
monuments dating back
AIHOLE TEMPLE
to the 8th century. Built
under the patronage of
the Chalukyan Dynasty,
the monuments display
both the north Indian Nagara and southern Dravidian styles of
architecture. Overnight in Badami.
Day 10 Badami - Hospet ( 130 Kms / 4 Hrs )
This morning, head to Hospet. Its tourist importance lies in its
proximity to Hampi, the site of the medieval Vijayanagar Empire,
situated about 13 kms away. Today
Hospet is an important site for iron-ore
mining. Overnight in Hospet.
Day 11 Hospet - Hampi -
ELEPHANT STABLES AT HAMPI Hubli ( 260 Kms / 5 Hrs )
In the morning, visit the
ruins at Hampi - the seat of
the famed Vijayanagara Empire. This the capital of the largest
empire in post-mogul India, covering several states and is place of
historic and religious significance. The excavations here are almost
like a vast open air
museum. Although
in ruins today, this

capital city once boasted riches known far beyond the shores of
India. Later, drive to Hubli, an ancient city now famous for textiles
and trade. Overnight in Hubli.
GOA
Day 12 Hubli - Goa ( 300 kms / 7 Hrs )
After breakfast, leave for
Goa. Located on the
western coast of India, Goa
is the smallest Indian state.
Known for its sublime
beaches and pretty,
whitewashed churches,
Goa still exudes its colonial
Portuguese charm mingled
with local flavours. On
arrival in Goa, relax and

unwind on the Goan beaches.

Day 13 Goa
This morning, visit the Se Cathedral.
Consecrated in 1640, the cathedral is
dedicated to Catherine of Alexandria.
You will also see the Viceroy's Arch. The
arch was built as a memorial to Vasco De
Gama and stands on the jetty of Old
Goa. It is said that every Viceroy had to
pass through this arch before taking
office. Overnight in Goa.
Day 14 Goa / Mumbai
After breakfast, head to the airport to board your flight to Mumbai.
Here, you will have the opportunity to wash and change. After
dinner, leave for the airport to board your flight for your onward
destination.
HAMPI
