Flory, Director. PUBLIC NOTICES ________ The Agri-Food Act ________ THE PORK INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT PLAN REGULATIONS — HOG INDUSTRY CHECK-OFF Order No. 6/01. Sask Pork, pursuant to the provisions of The Pork Industry Development Plan Regulations and The Agri-Food Act, being c.A-15.2, hereby determines as follows: 1 All Saskatchewan slaughter hog producers, all producers of slaughter hogs raised in Saskatchewan, and all producers of slaughter hogs sold to a Saskatchewan slaughter plant are required to remit, through the purchaser of their hogs, a check-off of ninety cents ($0.90) per head to Sask Pork from the signing date of this Order. 2 All buyers and marketing agents of slaughter hogs raised in Saskatchewan who: (a) purchase hogs from a producer; or (b) acquire hogs from a producer for sale on the producers behalf; shall deduct the amount of the check-off from any proceeds payable to or on behalf of the producer. 3 Each buyer and marketing agent of slaughter hogs raised in Saskatchewan shall forward to the office of the Board such check-offs along with a statement of a form provided by the Board, setting out the following: (a) the quantity of hogs obtained from the producer; (b) the amount of check-off being paid on behalf of the producer; (c) the name and address of the producer; and (d) the producer’s Sask Pork identification number. 4 Any buyer or marketing agent who collects a check-off shall, subject to any directions given by the Board, pay the amount of the check-off collected to the Board within 14 days from the end of the month within which the check-off was collected. 5 Where the check-off is not deducted by a buyer or marketing agent in respect of hogs marketed by or on behalf of a producer, the producer may be held liable for payment of the appropriate check-off to the Board. 6 Order No. 2/98 of Sask Pork is hereby wholly revoked. Order No. 6/01 is made pursuant to clause 7(1)(d) of The Pork Industry Development Plan Regulations, and shall be effective from and after the 1st day of October, 2001, by order of Sask Pork. The Chicken Farmers of Saskatchewan Board, pursuant to the provisions of The Saskatchewan Chicken Marketing Plan Regulations, 1978 and The Agri-Food Act, hereby determines and orders as follows: 1 If a producer markets less than of the allocated kilograms but not less than 95% of the allocated kilograms, the deficit will be added to the producers marketing quota six (6) cycles later. 2 If a producer markets less than 95% of the allocated kilograms for a production cycle, he/she has the right to apply to the board for a Catch-Up to the allocated level.
3 Application for Catch-Up must be presented to the board at least one cycle prior to the planned Catch-Up. 4 The board shall approve Catch-Up placements to be determined according to periodic needs. 5 Catch-Up shall be done within twelve months. 6 Order 19/00 of The Saskatchewan Chicken Marketing Plan Regulations, 1978 is hereby wholly revoked. Order No.25/01 is made pursuant to clause 14(w) and section 29 of The Saskatchewan Chicken Marketing Plan Regulations, 1978, and shall be effective on, from and after the 31st day of July, 2001.
