THE PORK INDUSTRY DEVELOPMENT PLAN<br />
REGULATIONS — HOG INDUSTRY CHECK-OFF<br />
Order No. 6/01. <strong>Sask</strong> Pork, pursuant to the provisions of The<br />
Pork Industry Development Plan Regulations and The Agri-Food Act,<br />
being c.A-15.2, hereby determines as follows:<br />
1 All <strong>Sask</strong>atchewan slaughter hog producers, all producers of<br />
slaughter hogs raised in <strong>Sask</strong>atchewan, and all producers of slaughter<br />
hogs sold to a <strong>Sask</strong>atchewan slaughter plant are required to remit,<br />
through the purchaser of their hogs, a check-off of ninety<br />
cents ($0.90) per head to <strong>Sask</strong> Pork from the signing date of this<br />
Order.<br />
2 All buyers and marketing agents of slaughter hogs raised in<br />
<strong>Sask</strong>atchewan who:<br />
(a) purchase hogs from a producer; or<br />
(b) acquire hogs from a producer for sale on the producers<br />
behalf;<br />
shall deduct the amount of the check-off from any proceeds payable<br />
to or on behalf of the producer.<br />
3 Each buyer and marketing agent of slaughter hogs raised in<br />
<strong>Sask</strong>atchewan shall forward to the office of the Board such check-offs<br />
along with a statement of a form provided by the Board, setting out<br />
the following:<br />
(a) the quantity of hogs obtained from the producer;<br />
(b) the amount of check-off being paid on behalf of the producer;<br />
(c) the name and address of the producer; and<br />
(d) the producer’s <strong>Sask</strong> Pork identification number.<br />
4 Any buyer or marketing agent who collects a check-off shall,<br />
subject to any directions given by the Board, pay the amount of the<br />
check-off collected to the Board within 14 days from the end of the<br />
month within which the check-off was collected.<br />
5 Where the check-off is not deducted by a buyer or marketing<br />
agent in respect of hogs marketed by or on behalf of a producer, the<br />
producer may be held liable for payment of the appropriate check-off<br />
to the Board.<br />
6 Order No. 2/98 of <strong>Sask</strong> Pork is hereby wholly revoked.<br />
Order No. 6/01 is made pursuant to clause 7(1)(d) of The Pork<br />
Industry Development Plan Regulations, and shall be effective from<br />
and after the 1st day of October, <strong>2001</strong>, by order of <strong>Sask</strong> Pork.<br />

THE CHICKEN FARMERS OF SASKATCHEWAN—<br />
UNDERPRODUCTION CATCH-UP<br />
Order No. 25/01. The Chicken Farmers of <strong>Sask</strong>atchewan Board,<br />
pursuant to the provisions of The <strong>Sask</strong>atchewan Chicken Marketing<br />
Plan Regulations, 1978 and The Agri-Food Act, hereby determines<br />
and orders as follows:<br />
1 If a producer markets less than of the allocated kilograms but not<br />
less than 95% of the allocated kilograms, the deficit will be added to<br />
the producers marketing quota six (6) cycles later.<br />
2 If a producer markets less than 95% of the allocated kilograms<br />
for a production cycle, he/she has the right to apply to the board for<br />
a Catch-Up to the allocated level.
