by Hibernian Aviva General <strong>Insurance</strong> Limited.<br />

this service, TPF is a member of the Credit Institutions Ombudsman Scheme, and is required to comply<br />

with the IFSRA Code of Conduct for Investment Business Services of Credit Institutions (Appendix 3)<br />

(www.ifsra.ie).<br />

TPF acts as an insurance intermediary in the Republic of Ireland, offering a range of life and non-life<br />

products, as well as loans and credit cards. In arranging non-life assurance in Ireland, TPF acts as a<br />

non-life insurance intermediary for: ACE <strong>Insurance</strong> S.A-N.V.; Financial <strong>Insurance</strong>s Company Limited<br />

(a member of the GE Financial <strong>Insurance</strong>s Ireland Group); and Hibernian Aviva General <strong>Insurance</strong><br />

Limited. In arranging life assurance in Ireland, TPF acts as a life insurance intermediary for: Hibernian<br />

Aviva Life & Pensions Limited and for Financial Assurance Company Limited (a member of the GE<br />

Financial <strong>Insurance</strong>s Ireland Group).<br />

If for any reason you have a complaint in connection with <strong>Tesco</strong> <strong>Car</strong> <strong>Insurance</strong> please write in the first<br />

instance to: The <strong>Insurance</strong> Manager, <strong>Tesco</strong> <strong>Car</strong> <strong>Insurance</strong>, Unit 18, Avenue 5200, Airport Business<br />

Park, Cork and we will have your complaint fully investigated by one of our Complaints Officers. We<br />

will acknowledge your complaint within 14 days of receiving it and will provide you with regular<br />

updates on the progress of our investigations. We aim to resolve your complaint as quickly as possible.<br />

On completion, we will provide you with a written report of the outcome. If you are not happy with the<br />

outcome, you can contact the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority on the consumer helpline at<br />

1890 777 777 or the Irish <strong>Insurance</strong> Federation at (01) 410 4000. Depending on the nature of your<br />

complaint, you may be entitled to take it to the Irish <strong>Insurance</strong> Ombudsman (01 662 0899) or the<br />

Ombudsman for Credit Institutions (01 478 3755).<br />

A <strong>Tesco</strong> <strong>Car</strong> <strong>Insurance</strong> policy is valid for one year from the date it is taken out. You can cancel your<br />

<strong>Tesco</strong> <strong>Car</strong> <strong>Insurance</strong> at any time and we will return a pro rata share of your premium to you, subject to<br />

the return of your insurance certificate and insurance disc. To cancel your policy at any time, contact<br />

the <strong>Insurance</strong> Manager, <strong>Tesco</strong> <strong>Car</strong> <strong>Insurance</strong>, Unit 18, Avenue 5200, Airport Business Park, Cork.<br />

Your policy and all relationships under the policy will be governed by Irish law and be subject to the<br />

jurisdiction of the Irish courts, all communication in respect of this policy will be in English.<br />

Hibernian - Hibernian Aviva General <strong>Insurance</strong> Ltd. carries on business at Haddington Rd, Dublin 4.<br />

It is registered in the Companies Registration Office under Company No. 3319 and is registered for<br />

Value Added Tax (VAT), registration no. 9E66299H. Hibernian Aviva General <strong>Insurance</strong> Ltd. is authorized<br />

by the Irish Financial Services Regulatory Authority (IFSRA) as a non-life insurance company and is a<br />

member of the Irish <strong>Insurance</strong> Federation (IIF) and subscribes to its voluntary code. Codes of conduct<br />

are also imposed by the IFSRA and can be accessed on its website at www.IFSRA.ie.<br />

Important info/Terms of business<br />

Cooling off Period - Right of Withdrawal - A consumer has the right to withdraw from any<br />

Hibernian Aviva policy within 14 days of the start date of the policy without penalty and without giving<br />

any reason. The right of withdrawal may be exercised by notice in writing to your intermediary, or<br />

Hibernian Aviva , quoting your policy number. Should this right be exercised, Hibernian Aviva will charge<br />

a pro-rata premium for the period you are on cover. If the cover is motor insurance, the premium cannot be<br />

refunded until the Hibernian Aviva Certificate of Motor <strong>Insurance</strong> and Disc have been returned to us.


Period of <strong>Insurance</strong> - Unless instructions to cancel are received the period of insurance in respect of<br />

any policy held with Hibernian Aviva will be the period specified by Hibernian as such in the policy<br />

Schedule / Renewal notice.<br />

You, the customer can cancel your policy by notice in writing at any time. Provided that no incident<br />

giving rise to a claim has occurred in the current period of insurance and you do not cancel during your<br />

first year, you will be entitled to a proportionate return of the premium for the unexpired period of<br />

insurance. In the case of cancellation of motor insurance, you, the customer must return your<br />

Certificate of <strong>Insurance</strong> and Windscreen Disc to Hibernian Aviva. Hibernian Aviva may cancel policies<br />

at any time by giving you, the customer, 10 days notice, by registered letter, to your last known address.<br />

If you cancel the policy during your first year (outside the cooling off period) the refund will be based on<br />

our short-term rates. Our current short-term rates (which may change from time to time) are:<br />
